If I were to change my name, my new name on the Mainland would be Violeta. I love the name very much, and it is a bit more unique than the name Violet, which I also like. However, there is no need for me to change my name, as I like mine as it is currently.
I would not change my main fairy's name either, Julie Dazzleshimmer. The name represents who she is, and it flows nicely.

I do not think I would ever want to change my name on Mainland. I love it I have not known many people with my name and I think that it is a common name
(not sure if I can state my real first name here) In Pixie Hollow I used to think about changing Twilight's name, when I named her I knew nothing about the Twilight books and fairies kept asking me about the books, I know nothing about them. I always thought about something more Water Talent like, Dewdrop or something. But as time went by I really love Twilight, I prefer Twi and I think it suits her perfectly. I did always want to change Ella's name to something a little different, her name always felt a little plain to me. But it has grown on me to, so I guess the name you are supposed to have finds you. ~Twi

My name in real life is so unique that there is only one other person in the whole US with it, and she happens to live near me which is a coincidence! I would never change it, ever. It has so much meaning to me. I was originally named something else, but later it got altered by a few letters.
I started disliking my name in Pixie Hollow soon after I chose it, but I grew to like it. If I could change my name, it would include "Lily" in it not only because it fits with a water-talent, but the word "Lily" corresponds to my name in real life. |

Is it funny that when I first looked at the title of this thread I thought it was about EKB changing names again?
I really do not like change and I would never want to change my name.

My name on the Mainland, while sounds foreign to English speakers, is extremely common back in Russia and I often meet Russian people with this name (even here in New Zealand!). Plus, many times over English speakers pronounce my real name wrong, so I've come to present myself with the English equivalent, which everyone finds is much easier to remember (but is dreadfully boring to my ears).
With this in mind, if I ever had to change names I wouldn't mind being called Alexia at all, seeing as I'm so used to it already. My fairy could have my name if she wants it, lol!

I have been thinking about this all month long and am still stumped. Although I like my Mainland name, it is a very short name. I would have liked to have been able to shorten a name to a nickname IRL, but have never found a name that seemed to "fit" me any better. The name I love the most -- Julianna (pronounced Julie-ahhh-na, not Julie-an-a) Elizabeth -- I gave to my daughter.
As for my fairy, Emerald will always be Emerald or Em to me. Do I still get my shiny? LOL ~ Em
