I am going to create my second character. She's going to be a rameon, NightWish do you think Raven and Ember (my new character) can be partners in crime? I thought we needed more than one bad guy around here.
Name: Ember Gender: Female Age: 17 Personality: Ember is very bossy, it's "her way or no way". She's tough, but has a soft side for her family and anyone who can find their way there. It's tough! Appearance: Attached Type of creature: Fire Elf Family: Gone....? Other: Ember is an archer, when she shoots her arrows catch on fire. Ember was named for her fire-like hair. Sure, Jenny! Partners in evil! Do you think Ember should be half wizard or something though? Elves generally can't shoot flaming arrows.
"Crescent, that invisibility spell was... incredible. You saved us." Maverick smiled at me hopefully. I just winced. What good were powers if you had to leave friends behind? "We're going to rescue them." Maverick continued, with determination. "I know a way—a shortcut to the heart of Ramea." Calaeron suddenly looked up, his eyes flickering with interest. "The heart of Ramea..." he tested the words on his tongue. Those words changed something in me, and I felt determination burn through the haze of regret. "The Scepter...!" That was our goal. That was what mattered. We would go into the heart of Ramea, and we would find the Scepter. And we'll rescue Rilla, Ari and Maye too. I couldn't give in to the guilt and despair that filled me. Not when I still had friends who were counting on me. Suddenly, without warning, a dog came running into the clearing, making a beeline for us. It was panting, tongue lolling with excitement. I stared at it in surprise. Had the Rameons left it behind? To our shock, the dog began to change before our eyes, taking the shape of a girl. A changeling, I realized. Before she could do anything, Calaeron's knife was at the back of her neck. She froze. "Well, what do we have here?" I strolled over to the newcomer. "Looks like the Rameons left something behind." "I'm not a Rameon," the girl protested. "I'm a Tayvian, just like you. I was only pretending to be one of them to avoid capture." She looked at me with excitement. "I can't believe that there are other Tayvians still not caught! And you're looking for the Scepter?" I tensed. She'd obviously heard our conversation. My first instinct was to not trust this girl. If she could change into anything she wanted, who knew what could happen if she wasn't trustworthy. There was also no way to prove that she was telling the truth. "How do we know you're telling the truth?" Calaeron demanded, echoing my own thoughts. The changeling looked frightened. I couldn't blame her. "If she was a Rameon, why would she come to us like this? Completely unarmed?" Maverick asked. He looked sympathetic to the scared changeling girl. "It could be a trap," Calaeron pointed out. "If she really is a Tayvians, we can't just leave her here," Saria argued. They all looked to me. I had a sneaking suspicion Aranel would back Calaeron up in this, and Saria obviously agreed with Maverick. I was the leader, and the tiebreaker. "What's your name?" I asked the changeling. "Rune," she replied. I nodded to Calaeron, motioning for him to remove the knife. Rune shivered with relief. "Well, Rune, welcome to the group. I'm Crescent, but call me Cress. This is Calaeron, Maverick, Saria and Aranel." I nodded to each one. I still wasn't sure we could trust her, however. "Do you mind giving us some privacy?" She nodded and moved away, far enough that she - hopefully - couldn't hear us. "I'm still not sure this is a good idea," Calaeron said quietly. "She was with the Rameons for quite a while. We're going to need someone who's been on the inside to help us," I replied, equally softly. "How else will we know where they've taken Rilla, Maye and Ariellia?" Maverick shifted uncomfortably at the words "someone on the inside". I wondered why. (Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Anyway, since Maverick will be friends with Rune, that leaves Calaeron, Aranel and Cress to not trust her at first. Liri and Misty, do you guys mind?) |

Sounds fine to me. Calaeron is always instinctively suspicious at first.

Rune "Do you mind giving us some privacy?" Cress asked.I quickly nodded and walked away. To make absolutely certain that I couldn't hear them--I think I've intruded on their privacy enough for one day--I hummed myself a little tune. Absentmindedly, I rubbed the crystal earring I was wearing. The gift from my parents. Catching myself, I removed it and looked at it closer in my hands. It glowed ever so slightly with its light enchantment, reminding me of home. As my mind began to drift toward that time, I remembered my younger siblings whom I had tried so hard to save from the Rameons. The attack on our village had been brutal, but my siblings and I managed to become mice, and had barely escaped their clutches. A few hours later, I had just gone out for a little while to gather food, only to return and find them missing... I shivered. The thought of them still out there on their own scared me. If anything, I wanted them to be captured--at least they would be fed something and wouldn't be spending their waking hours in total fear of the unknown. I thought I might have heard my name being called. Pulling myself back into reality, I put back on the earring, and tried to push the thought of my siblings out of my mind. It didn't work out so well, but I still tried to cheer myself up before walking back to the group. |

Cress asked the changeling. "Rune," she replied. Cress nodded to me, and I reluctantly remove my knife. Rune shivered with relief. "Well, Rune, welcome to the group. I'm Crescent, but call me Cress. Aranel adds, looking over at Rune suspiciously. "I think we should give her a chance." Saria says, and Maverick nods his agreement. "Alright. We will give her a chance, but keep an eye on her Calaeron." Cress says, and I nod shortly. "I will too." Aranel volunteers. "Alright." Cress agrees, then calls out to Rune. |

(Hey guys thanks for getting this back up! The movers come tomorrow with our stuff and we should have wifi set up soon. I am using my phone because the neighbors generously allowed us to use their wifi. I won't be able to post because of how much of a pain it would be. I have been reading the posts though so I'm all caught up!
Jenny, I think I'm going to say no to Ember being the elf princess. There really is no separate kingdom for each species, they all live together in a way. And she being the princess would make her more powerful than some of the other characters. Perhaps she could be a fire elf because of her ability to shoot flaming arrows?) |

Sure, Jenny! Some of the characters are wizards, and they can do spells so having a character with fire would be fine, as long as she's not all powerful

I promised to change my last post for Raven, but never got around to it. Sorry! Anyway, I just deleted the last part of it. This is a continuation of that scene.
"That is why," the king continued. "I believe the two of you should work together on the task of capturing this Tayvian group. Nyxie could help you think up strategy." I paused. I didn't let it show, but Nyxie was not exactly my first choice for a partner. She was too untried; too quiet and proper. I wasn't sure she was capable of being ruthless enough to handle this. Ember was my usual partner of choice, but she'd been on patrol duty when I'd been assigned the task of capturing these Tayvians. "I believe it is about time I sent Nyxie on her first adventure with you." Balthazar continued. "Which is why, on your next hunt, she will be joining you. In the meantime, you may help her with handling the prisoners, should any issue arise." "Of course, my lord." I bowed my head so he wouldn't see the irritation on my face. I didn't need some docile princess slowing me down. Sort of friend or not, I had no inclination to play mentor to the king's peculiar daughter. I also knew he'd have me thrown in the dungeon if I said that. I strolled out of the throne room. I was looking forward to seeing the new prisoners, if only so that I could take my irritation out on them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A few minutes later, I'd discarded my long wizard robes and pointed hat, slipping into my normal clothes at court As for the storybook witch outfit? It was dramatic effect, really. Anything to make my prey that much more afraid. I pulled my dark indigo coat tighter around myself as I entered the dungeon. There was always a damp chill in the air here. When I reached the section of cells where the new prisoners were kept, I passed my Rameon-turned Tayvian father. "I suppose you're proud of yourself, Raven." His voice was weary, defeated. "Are you here for questioning.?" I smiled, tossing my long dark curls. "You could say that. Unfortunately, the king put his daughter in charge of questioning." My grin turned devilish. "But who says I can't have a little fun before she gets here?" (Sorry for being mean to your character, Hazy. It's not personal, Raven is cruel to everybody. I'm trying to give the people whose characters got captured a chance to post. Also, Ember or Nyxie could show up as well. Oh, and this is what Raven looks like without the creepy-witch disguise. ) |

(I know that, Night! I don't think Nyxie or Raven should like each other at first, but maybe bond more. Perhaps they could be more similar than they thought? Also, should they turn good?
Okay I have a question for you guys. I know I created this RP, but when the Tayvians defeat Ramea, what should happen? Will they become leaders or something like that? It's really up to you!) |

Well, actually, Raven was planning to take over the world.
Okay, okay, I'm joking. Though she probably does want to... Anyway, I like the idea of Raven and Nyxie growing closer eventually. I was going to invent a reason for why Raven is so cruel (working on it! Haven't got one yet) and from your earlier post I'm guessing Nyxie has a reason too. Maybe they could help each other get over their issues? I guess we could take over Ramea. But let's make a pact right now - no one is going to declare their character king/queen. I didn't think anyone wanted to, but just so it's clear... |

(This reminds me of how all the Misty's were going to take over PHF!
What exactly is the curse? Will breaking the curse destroy the Rameons? Perhaps it could bring peace and goodness among Tayvia and Ramea?) Maverick Rune strolled back toward the group, but remained silent. She looked at each of us expectantly, her eyes warm yet lost. As I gazed at her, I immediately discerned a sense of empathy. Rune was looking for a place where she belonged, a sense of home and family. Even if Rune was a Rameon, perhaps she was here to escape the corruption—like me. "Thanks, Rune," Crescent spoke at last. "We just had to discuss some things." Rune nodded, indicating that she understood. "Look, there's something you need to know about the Sceptre," she stated. "Something important." "What exactly is this Sceptre?" I asked, my curiosity finally overtaking me. Crescent glanced uncertainly at Rune. "The Sceptre is the only way to break the curse," she began warily. "Curse?" I repeated, embarrassed by my ignorance. "The curse set by the Rameon king... Balthazar." Crescent grimaced at the utterance of the name. "I only know that the Sceptre lies in the heart of Ramea." "Wait!" Rune interrupted, alarmed. "It's a trap!" |

I'm going to make a second character! Name: Raine Gender: Female Age: 13 Personality: Raine is quiet, a bit introverted, and not the best conversationalist, but she is caring and friendly once you get to know her. She is very smart and levelheaded. Appearance: Wavy brownish black hair, blue eyes, and fair skin with freckles on her face. Raine is very petite. Type of creature: Elf Family: Aranel (older sister) Other: Raine has weak legs which causes her to be a bit clumsy and not to be able to run very fast. She is not skilled in self-defense, and was captured by the Rameons because of it. Raine is currently in a Rameon dungeon. |
