Eeek, the month has flown by so quickly! I'm so glad I made it in time to submit my design.
I've thought about my design for the past couple of days and finally finished it today. I always liked the accessories that used elements from Lost Things, and thought it would be really neat to create an outfit that would include things that have been washed up on the shore at Palm Tree Cove. (So it's a recycled outfit, I guess? ^^) • This outfit has been designed with tinker-talents in mind. The sturdy, lean form will make it suitable to work in, without compromising the fashionable aspect of the outfit. • While the sleeves and pants are made from leaves, other pieces are made from different materials. The bold strips across the shoulders and the skirt are pieces of handkerchief. The thick fabric makes for great cover from accidental spills, etc. • The stitches on the leggings are purposely made larger and more crudely, and can be made either from rubber band strips (the same as the belt) or from thick thread. • The shoes have platforms made from cork, which makes for a lighter, springier step! • Finally, the buttons at the front and the headpiece are made from bits of copper wire, which each tinker fairy can mould into an intricate form of their choice.

Everyone's entries are so amazing. Twi would have worn them all.
I am not much of a drawer but I have not missed a shiny yet and I am not going to miss this one. Got in just under the wire too. I feel it is a little Sleeping Beauty inspired, wish they would have given us outfits that are inspired by Disney princesses. ~A simple shell textures necklace. ~A strapless dress with a lace insert and a full skirt with color ribbons on the side and in the middle. ~And a shawl to complete the look. I always wished in PH we could wear jackets, capes or shawls over our dresses or tops. ~And I guess since now I realize I forgot to draw shoes you wear this barefoot ~Twi

I am absolutely no artist. Sorry, I can barely manage to draw stick figures. So, like Joan, I took to the internet to find something that I would love to see Emerald in. There is an extremely talented lady named Sandra Alcorn who makes fairy dresses from real-life petals and leaves from her garden. They are truly inspiring and amazing! This is the type of dress I would have loved to see at the Queen's Boutique:
All credit goes to Sandra for this creation -- I am just happy to share the beauty with you all. ~ Em

What a talented bunch of pixies we have here! I love all your designs and drawings!
If we ever have another design an outfit contest, then I'm definitely gonna give it a shot. P.S. I don't know if this counts, but I think my tailor talent fairy Neverjewel would have liked to have worn or designed a mainlandish dress like this: Last edited by Neverbelle; 06-01-2016 at 04:54 AM. So it's June, I'm late, but the thread is still open... I wanted to create a piece of art just featuring the dress, but things got away from me, and so now I'm just going to put my art here.
Frostwish's dress combines flower petals and ice crystals--being a winter fairy, she can easily wear it without getting cold. The blue petals of the dress become more translucent at the bottom of the skirt and up by the neck, so it looks like it's made entirely of ice. The sleeves, however, are entirely made of ice crystals. There is a swirling piece of ice along her dress and in her hair, inspired from "frost flowers" and their swirling designs. And the shoes are a light layer of petals, mostly accented with tiny, shining ice crystals. It's the perfect dress for a winter fairy!
