Never News ~ 14th April 2011 ~ Pixie Dust Discoveries!

I was thrilled when I got on this morning and discovered that the mill is open and we can start earning out talent points!

Things to take note:
* Check your leaf journal under Talent Levels. It shows the rewards you get.


* 2 New Wilderness Badges
* LOTS of new recipes in Dulce's Kitchen
* LOTS of Blueprints to tinker in Copper's Tinkering Nook
* New patterns in Mendy's and Bobbin's
* I heard the Wilderness changed too

So, I can assume that all of PH changed. lol, I guess we're going to be busy for a while.

I just tried it with one of my nonmember fairies. She was given the talent level of 1 and the rewards that were listed above for that. She now has her own pixie dust and can earn points toward the next level at least by playing the easy level of games and practicing the tinkering, tailoring, and baking. I don't have time to get her to the next level right now to see what happens. All of the rewards are great, but can't be used except by a member. So there really is not much point, right now, in having them.

looks like some of the new recipies turn your fairy colors! I'm going to try it and see

yep! my fairy is now RED also availble are green, yellow, blue and orange-at different levels of course. you need dye to make the cupcakes, but it is funny. Now to see how long it lasts.

edit 2-not very long. less than 5 min; closer to 1 min I think

My non-Member fairy was also awarded Talent Level 1, and I was shocked that she got two green dyes, but I then realized she couldn't use them unless she becomes a Member. Frustrating!

Anyway, I did earn enough points to get to Talent Level 2, but it does seem kind of pointless for non-Members. The changes to the tailoring games are more difficult now too! I couldn't guide the caterpiller for the life of me at Mendy's! I then realized it was so much easier at Bobbin's and got the hang of it there.

Members: What are the new places like??? I obviously can't go there, but I'm still curious.

But how do you earn talent points to level up

im reading the forum from my cellphone bc im on vacation so i cant go on pixie to see the new stuff

so how does it work? And wat r the new locations and stuff?

To get talent points you play games, do quests, tailoring, tinkering, baking, go in wilderness (which is very different). It seems like a lot of work to get to a new level, but I have not been trying yet. For each new level you get some rewards and can unlock new talent skills.
The only new locations besides the mill are some stations in the meadows which have you basically use up some of your pixie dust to unlock new ingredient bunches. For example, in Sunflower Gully the big sunflower which holds the seed bunch may be closed up. If you have the talent skill needed there, you can use it to open the flower and get the bunch. There is another seed bunch for those who do not have the skill to open the flower. There are new patterns in tailoring and tinkering and new recipes to bake.
I don't know how to begin to tell you about the changes to the wilderness. I hope this helps some.

Ok this is all a little too much at once.
I do really LOVE the new tailoring and tinkering items.Finally we can make accessories to match.
And new tops and skirts so pretty!Just made the Beaded skirt and top, too beautiful!
Love that we have more baking patterns,they all look so yummy!
Not sure how I feel about the wilderness,it is very different, but I like it something new.
I like that each time it is different.At least we get two new badges!
I do like that it is more co-opertive now,everone has to help.
Well we will just have to get used to it.You also do not get alot of rewards like we used too.
In the Silver Trees you get alot of twigs and yellow gems now(both
of which I have a full pouch). At least in the wilderness today I got to
meet Lila finally!
Okay now I have a question.
Do the wilderness points we gathering before the change mean
anything anymore?

I believe the points we gathered before do mean something, my fairy was bumped to level 13 and kept all 5 of her talents she already learned, and I had all the free dyes and patterns waiting for me to explore when I logged in!

Unfortunately those who had over one hundred thousand wilderness points plus, well that has got to be disapointing. We are all equals now, except for the badges.

Personally I love it all, but most likely won't be going into the wilderness as much anymore.
