Thanks, Hazel!
Hope you have a fun weekend, Night and Lemony. I sat by the banks of Havendish Stream, dipping a hand into the water. Sprinkling in some pixie dust, I made a fountain appear in the stream. Feeling playful, I also made floating water animals - a bird, a bunny, a mouse... "Glory!" a voice called out. I looked up to see Frostwish, a winter fairy friend of mine. A little snow cloud was floating above her, sprinkling her with a regular stream of snow. "Hey, Frostwish," I greet my friend. "I'm on a quest right now, and I could use your help," she told me. "Okay, what is it?' "I have to find some rare blue gems in the Never Mine, but I don't want to go in there alone. Will you come with me?" Frostwish asked pleadingly. "Sure," I shrugged, getting up. "It's been a while since I last went into the Wilderness. Let's go." "Thanks, Glory!" she exclaimed as we began to fly in the direction of the Winter Woods. (Sorry, I can't think of much else to post right now. ) Last edited by Blaze_of_Glory; 06-14-2015 at 03:04 AM. |

((Glory, is there any chance that your Frostwish is also my winter fairy, Frostwish? If she is, I'm perfectly okay with that, I'd just like to know if they're the same or if it was just luck. ))

Actually, no, I didn't know you had a fairy named Frostwish, Popcorn! What a funny coincidence. Frostwish is named after one of my friends back in Pixie Hollow, Ella Frostwish.

So the purple pixie dust starts appearing after encountering Never Mine bats. Does the purple pixie dust grant extra powers? Or magic? Or something?
Lemony I woke up in my little tree house stretching and yawning as I woke up. I hopped out of the strawberry bed and parted the mossy curtains to my bedroom. I made my house in a tree since most fairies of my talent lived in flowers. I thought flowers were just lovely but trees were my truest passion. I used my talent to grow fruit trees especially lemons which I was named after. I walked down the vines stairs. For a garden talent my house was a mixture of all sorts of talents mostly with different green plants growing around the house. I walked over to mirror and looked at my hair. Twisting it up and down and all around trying to pick a style for today, while making faces at my self. I decided to go with a classic and unique look today and wear my lemon hat. See my lemon hat is made out of a real lemon. It looks like a giant lemon sitting on my head turned to the side. It looks more like a lemon helmet. My hat may be strange and big, but I do love it. Once a fairy thought my head was stuck in a lemon and tried to help set me free boy was that an embracing day. I wore a nice yellow dress with a white flower on it. I was going to meet Rosetta and some other garden fairies helping them to grow some plants in the winter meadows. I started flying over there and saw Rosetta and other garden fairies. "Why hello sugar you look interesting. You do realize you eat the lemons not wear them right?" She asked making a puzzled face. "Oh I know Rosetta I just like the lemon it's actually my hat, I made it myself" I said smiling. She gave me a peculiar look then sent me on my way. Suddenly I see an owl fly into the mine near me and a Frost talent fly by. "Oh no Silver! Silver please come out of the mines! Oh please it's dark and scary in there!" She cries calling out to the owl. "Please can you help me my owl Silver got a little spooked and flew straight into the mines, I'm afraid he might be hurt" she said. "Well I don't... Really know my way around there.. But I'll try!" I say unsure of the situation "I'm not really a animal or light talent" I say. "Oh but you'll do great I just can't go in I have to stay here in case he flys back out" she says. "Oh alright by the way I'm Lemony" I say. "Snowflakes" she says giving me her name as she flies with me to the mines. I go inside the mines trying to call to the owl Silver. It's really dark and dusty in the mines. Who even goes in here? It's probably abandoned. I fall back toward a wall with a spider web on it. Feeling small jerky movements. The spider must be behind me I turn around and sure enough she is and she seems mad at me for wrecking her home. I take on running straight into a cave like area filled with bats. In the center sits Silver the owl I grab him and we run out of the mine. I'm running so fast I run straight into Snowflakes. "Thanks for helping me fine Silver, by the way there's something purple on your hand" she says. ( Lemony's lemon hat makes her look very strange ) |

Hmm... I have no idea. Maybe it just causes the other fairies to be sick? What if the fast flying fairies were immune to it? Just thinking about Tinkerbell and the Pirate fairy and how Zarina made the different colored dust.
Primrose "I think that is the last thing we need to do," Primrose said, placing a few things of metal in her bucket along with the mushrooms and one yellow gem that they had collected. "Anyone else ready to head back?" "I sure am," answered Henriette, the only other fairy that was not a winter talent besides Primrose. "The frost on my wings is beginning to itch." "You know, you really didn't need to have your wings frosted," Periwinkle told her. "It was just in case... I don't have a twin to heal my wings." "You said something about chamomile tea, Periwinkle?" Primrose interjected with her brown eyes widening, silently begging to finally be let out of the Mine and back into the sunshine. "Are you sure that isn't just your taste buds talking?" Primrose grinned. "Or my cheeks begging to be warm again. I'm ready to get outta here." Instantaneously as they turned around to head back, a bright light was shined in their eyes. In unison, all four of the fairies cried out in displeasure. There was a high pitched screech and several bats whooshed over their heads, having been disturbed by the light. "Oh sorry," said a sparrow-man, pointing his light down. He crouched a little as the bats were still flying overhead, quickly finding a spot to once again sleep on. "Rosemary? That's you, right?" "Yes, I am down here, Finch," she responded, smoothing down her mahogany red hair that she always kept in two braids. "There's a new arrival coming, I thought you would want to come." "Of course!" Rosemary laughed. "Come on guys, let's go!" In an instant, everyone had forgotten about the scare (not that they would have admitted to being frightened,) and were racing each other back to the Pixie Dust Tree, |

I imagined for the purple pixie dust to just act as regular pixie dust for our characters, but for all of the other fairies it makes them sick.
I don't think the fast flying fairies should be immune to it though, because for our characters I imagined that they would have to save all of Pixie Hollow. I'll try to post soon! Everything looks amazing. __________________ Thank you, Ruby |

Ok. Julie might be the first one to get sick, because Infinity gave her the purple pixie dust. How long does it take them to get sick, anyway?

I would think that it would depend from fairy to fairy when they got sick. But will it act like a normal sickness? With the people closest getting sick first?

When Frostwish and I arrived at the Never Mine, we decided to split up, so we'd have a better chance of finding as many blue gems as possible. "Let's not take too long," I add nervously. Normally, I'm not afraid of adventuring in the wilderness, but there was something about the Never Mine today that felt... off. I couldn't shake off the foreboding feeling that told me I shouldn't have come here, not today. "It's okay! Nothing will happen," Frostwish said cheerfully. "I don't know. I just have this feeling..." I trailed off. There was a part of me that wanted, badly, to go into the mine. To find out once and for all what was bothering me so much today. I sighed, giving in to my own curiosity. "Okay, let's go." ________________________ I flew through the dark tunnels expertly, having come here many times before on quests. The Never Mine was the most difficult of all the Wildernesses, and I remembered a lot of fun adventures here with my friends. Today, however, I just couldn't shake off that feeling... Seeing a small flare of light, I immediately went in its direction. "Aha!" Finally, a blue gem. A loud screech echoed off the tunnel directly in front of me. I jump, nearly dropping my bad of pixie dust. An enormous swarm of bats flew straight towards me. Instinctively, I threw up my hands to protect my face. However, the bats didn't seem interested in me. I felt the flapping of a hundred pairs of wings, inches away, as the bats flew on down another tunnel. "Well, that was... strange," I said out loud. I reached a hand into my bag of pixie dust, sprinkling some more on myself. I stopped mid-motion. What the - I held up the blue gem, which reflected the dim light of my glow, for more illumination. I hadn't been imagining it. The dust had turned - purple! Okay, now that is really strange! I flapped my wings experimentally. It seemed to work just like normal dust... "Oh well." I shrugged, then flew back the way I'd come. ______________________ "Hey, Glory!" Frostwish called out. "Do you have any spare dust? I accidentally dropped mine when this huge swarm of bats flew by, and now I'm out." "You saw them too?" I pulled out my dust satchel, holding it out for her to take some. "Yeah, they seemed to have come out of nowhere - hey!" Frostwish held up a handful of dust. "Glory... it's purple!" "Yes, I noticed. Not sure why, but it seemed to have happened after the bats passed by..." I shrugged, then grinned. "I've always preferred purple over gold in terms of color anyway." "Wow, that's really interesting!" Frostwish took the blue gem I'd found for her. "Well, anyway, thanks for your help, Glory." "Anytime!" I called after her as she flew away. I opened my bag of dust again, peering at the bright purple pixie dust. Maybe I should go to the Depot, see if they know what's going on. Just then, I heard a twinkling sound, up in the air. I looked up just in time to see a wisp of dandelion fluff fly by overhead, on its way to the Pixie Dust Tree. "A laugh!" I sprang into the air, excitement overtaking me. Maybe it'll be another water talent! (All our characters are going to meet one another at the Pixie Dust Tree when the New Arrival comes, right?) |

Some of them will meet, right? Both Primrose and your Glory, Blaze_of_Glory are water talents, so they at least could meet.
Did we want the new arrival to be a certain talent? Like a scout fairy or something? |

Hmm, I was thinking that we would all meet one another at the Arrival. And scout talent sounds fine, I don't think it really matters.
Sure, Primrose, Glory would love to meet your fairy. Go water talents! _________________________ Thank you, Stormy!

I think that everyone meeting each other at the Arrival is a great idea. Scout talent sounds fine with me.

Thanks everyone for posting! I've been meaning to, but I've been really busy lately.
I think a scout talent sounds interesting, but I was thinking maybe it could be a scribe talent (or something similar)? Then, that new arrival can read something about the legend, and realize it's happening now, and come to our fairies. But, if you guys want her/him to be a scout talent, that's fine too! |

Now that you suggested it, a scribe talent would make sense. Okay, we can go with that if you want.
But if you guys decide to go with a scout talent for the new Arrival, we can always have our characters go talk to that guy who hangs out in the Pixie Hollow library all the time. _________________________ Thank you, Stormy!
