I just got a Nexus 7. I will check it out and let you know. Anything you have on your Kindle Fire can transfer to the Nexus. You just have to take some steps.

The speed and bandwidth of your data streaming is Very Important. Gaming takes a lot to play well. I have an iPad 2. It works in a pinch, when I am out of town, can access wifi and want to play for a bit, but I wouldn't want to rely on it as my main mode of play, cause it is so small. A keyboard would definitely help.
I cannot always access PH, but I can't remember if it's only when I access PH with the iPad (Safari) browser, or if it also happens when accessing through iSwifter, which is a browser that reads Flash-based web pages. I'll go try it out and update this post.
