I caved in and bought my first Queen's Boutique dress today. It's just gorgeous!
The blue is so rich in color and I love everything about the dress. The little details on the skirt is so very cute and this has been the first dress that I liked EVERYTHING about. Liri, my water talent, is now wearing it with pride. I attached a picture of the shoes

Yeah… I think I've scared poor Erica a little bit… Well, until Queen Clarion has no King, there won't be a "King's Boutique" , but they could make it like Post Office where they sell something for fairies and sparrow men alike. I could imagine some gowns (?) like the Ministers of Autumn and Spring wear, or some armour (a black and silver knight?) or a golden tuxedo (to fit the girls dresses), or something like the suits they sold on tea party (still waiting for a mad hatter outfit…) So back to the topic: the blue dress has a realy nice color, that's diffrent from the others, but what's that thing with those feathery 70s-trousers-like bottoms... they do look strange... I would rate it 3 stars (because of the color) _______________________________________________ |

Although I love the color of the new dress, I feel they are not trying very hard to come up with something new. The style is VERY similar to the long green one a while back-they changes the color and added "sparkle" and a few tiny details are changed, but not enough to make them special in my opnion. I sew on the mainland, and looking at several of the long dresses-they come from the same pattern (if that makes sense) with just trim added on this one, sleeves on that one
Edit: and I'm pretty sure the hairpiece is the exact same one as the recent gold dress-just in blue instead of gold Last edited by lillyfairy; 07-20-2012 at 06:36 PM. |

Honestly they need a fashion designer to come in and help out!

Cupcake, this might sound silly, but when I first looked at your screenshot, I thought that you had used your awesome graphics skills to re-color the previously sold dress pieces into a very pretty blue. Haha, I guess that is saying something about the design of the dress. It looks really pretty with all the new sparkles, but the overall "pattern" (how Lily put it) is the same.
I think the gorgeous color has increased the charm of this dress - funnily enough, it's the same color as the dress that I received just this week! (Except mine is knee-high, and has a more modest design) Since I have that lovely blue already hanging in my closet, I'm going to have to pass on this one. You know, I think they are really listening to Jillian's advice, and are adding a lot more color options and avoiding the slits. But since it's so easy for them to just change the color of the dress, then it should be as easy for us to dye them! It seems that the whole excuse of "non-dyeable because it is specially crafted and expensive" is only brought in to make us pay more!

Hi everyone! I'm not sure where this should go, so sorry if this is in the wrong place (I could also put it in the Ranters section, but i'm not sure).
So, I just saw there is a new dress in the Queen's Boutique called the Moonlight Magic Gown. I thought it was BEAUTIFUL- then I saw how much it costed. I actully, REALLY loved this dress but, it's SO expensive! (80 diamonds, to be exact) I have a question for you all. Are you going to buy this dress? Scar Oh, I wish I could afford it! But sadly, I cannot! It is a very unique dress and I just LOVE that blue! Last edited by Mommy 2 Jules; 07-20-2012 at 04:33 PM. Reason: double post due to thread merge |

I'd love to, but I am definitely not buying this dress. Pixie Hollow really needs to think of something more creative, not just redying the old dresses to reinforce the "no-dyeing thing". If they had come up with another dress design in this color, Izzy probably would have bought it, being a very big spender. I'm a little disappointed though. Perhaps later they'll dye Erica's Golden Roses dress purple or something...

Yay! No slit! I think the slits are not elegant and not good for flying in the hollow. :P
