There are rumors floating around that Legend of the Never Beast is the last Tinker Bell movie, and so far, those rumors seem to have pretty good support. But I believe that it is just coincidence that Pixie Hollow closed and then, several months later, it was tentatively announced that Legend would be the last one. Disney Interactive had been losing money ever since Pixie Hollow had opened, according to several websites that I've read on the subject, and so they decided to give Disney Interactive a makeover. They got rid of three of their four online worlds two days after they released Disney Infinity (the very promising and eventually the very profitable video game), they let a quarter of their workforce go (despite Infinity's success), and they went from having two co-CEO's of the company down to just one.
I think Pixie Hollow's closing and the (possible) ending of the Tinker Bell movie series is coincidence. But I do hope that this isn't the end. I've been with this franchise since 2006 (the Disney Fairies franchise was first started in 2005), and I don't want to see it all disappear under my feet now. |

There's a possibility that Pixie Hollow's reopening according to an email but there's no guarantee. Let's just keep emailing Disney until they reopen Pixie Hollow.
The rumors might not be true. But if they are, the reason's probably due to budget cuts. But there might be some more Peter Pan movies. I doubt they would close the Disney Fairies franchise. Just like Disney Princesses, Disney Fairies is a part of Disney. They'd probably still have toys, fairies in Disney Parks and books. It would be probably like the era before the first Tinkerbell movie in 2008. And Popcorn, the reason might be because they want Club Penguin to be better or something. But that's still a possibility. |

Good point, Tinker! The franchise is also young but well known.

Now that I know that the Pixie Hollow closure and the rumors about the last tinker-bell movie just might be a coincidence they might consider reopen Pixie Hollow since the franchise is still alive. But anyways Pixie Hollow reopening is highly not possible since their focusing more on club penguin and got rid of a lot of workers AND spent all of their money on Disney Infinity.

Well, maybe Disney suggested reopening Pixie Hollow for a few short times, but then with their money issues, regretted it.

Even if Legend of the Never Beast is the last Disney Fairies movie, it still doesn't make sense for them to close Pixie Hollow Online in fall 2013 when they have one more movie coming in 2015. It's too early in my opinion. As for emailing and that post I honestly don't know what to believe anymore. Do you have the original link for that post? I've heard from both sides so to me it could go either way. I'll email him and we'll see where that leads...

Maybe Disney were very sure to close toontown and potco but they thought pixie hollow should stay but then on the other hand they thought that pixie hollow was useless and they wasted money on it so they eventually closed it

Don't think the franchise is ending. As another user said, it's a part of Disney, with so much potential with it, that I don't think they'd just abandon it. There is no confirmation Legend of the Never Beast will be the last, just rumors, and Disney hasn't outright said it's the last one. The President of Walt Disney Studios (not Iger), said he is proud of the Fairies franchise and that it has done wonders for them. So don't count the Fairies out just yet!
