Uploading GIMP Brushes-By Anna
Uploading GIMP Brushes-By Anna Miranda wanted new brushes (: so I decided to help (sorry there are no pics, I think its easy to undertsand anyways) -Open your Documents (open the window two times) -On one there should be your brushes and on the other one your Libraries -Look on top, where it says Libraries erase it and type this: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\.gimp-2.6\brushes -Now make sure you have your Brushes in a different document. -Unzip you brushes by double clicking on the Zip file -When its open it should show and item like the GIMP Logo. click on that. -Cut your brushes and paste them here C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\.gimp-2.6\brushes -Open your GIMP (this could take a while) and check your brushes, they should appear there! Miranda I think this should help... Last edited by Jezzi; 01-14-2011 at 06:00 PM. Reason: removed site names/advertising |

Maybe your computer is something else like a Mac? I watch some tut for Mac, and it like that.
-Go to website -Type in the box "Photshop/GIMP Brushes" -See any brushes you like -Click to it -Go down click "Download" at the left -Sometimes it have ad, so click above, left. -Click "Open"...wait -When it come up, click Extract all Files (Sometimes it don't work, try again) -Click "Browse".. *Click computer *Click OS (C: ) *Click Program Files *Find and Click GIMP-2.0 or any # *Click share *Click gimp *Click brushes *Then press Ok -Now, click Extract -Click Continue (it safe) -Click Continue again -Now wait.... When it done, you all set. Check GIMP, too. Last edited by Jezzi; 01-30-2011 at 09:00 PM. Reason: advertising |

for mac the brushes folder is under your main thing (which for me, is my full name), then application support, gimp, brushes. you pull up another finder window with the downloads window and drag the brush file into that brush folder.

I don't use a Mac. I use Windows. My gosh, just trying to think about this is making my head spin. So ... going onto Gimp ... trying to figure this out.
EDIT: My local disk is a C. BTW, I know what is the problem. I can't open up the files two times/two different windows. So that is the first problem. |
