I don't really have a favorite book series. There are so many great books out there.
A few of my favorites are: The Chronicles of Narnia Series, Uglies Series, Maximum Ride Series, and those are just my favorite series. Don't get me started on individual books |

Anything by Joan Bauer! Honestly, every teenager should read her books. They're clean, humorous, and teach great lessons!
They can be sad, but with just a light love intrest. They're definitly my favorite books. A few of hers are entitled:
I love those books, Sarah! Who's your favorite character? Mine's Iggy. Last edited by UpInTheAir; 08-23-2009 at 01:32 AM. Reason: merged double post |

Books Books and more Books
Hi Everyone. Some of my favorite books are Isaac Asimov's Foundation series, anything written by Tolkien---reading The Book of Lost Tales right now, the books about the fairies are nice (I'm reading those to my little girl), Roger Zelazny's Amber series, The Mists of Avalon and on the heavier side In Search of Schroedingers Cat, The Social Construction of Reality and so many more that I could continue for days.

I read a lot and it is very difficult to pick a favorite author, let alone a favorite. Also, my tastes have changed through the years and a book that might have been a favorite when I was younger, may no longer be a favorite though still well liked. My favorite author has to be Anne McCaffrey, she has written tons of books and I love most, if not all of her books. I have read everything she has written and they are on my "Must Buy" list. I don't even wait to read them from the library first, they must be part of my home library. Having said all that, my current favorite book is actually Brother Price by Wen Spencer. Since I bought it a couple of years ago, I have read it about ten times. Also, talking about it here has made me want to read it again. Oh well, off to read.

I also read a lot, so I have a lot of favorites... But here are some of them...
Artemis Fowl (have any of you guys read this? The author wrote some other really weird books that I don't recommend , but this one is good. It's main characters are Artemis (obviously) and Holly, who is a fairy from LEP (Lower Elements Police) Anyway, Artemis is a boy genious, and this book is really funny. If any of you have read it, I like Mulch ) Also, I really like the 'Maximum Ride' series... (to Neverheart - my favorite character I think would be Max. She looks out for everyone as a family, yet is tough and kind. She can get out of a tight spot too. Although Nudge is sweet, and Iggy and Gasman are funny, especially when their blowing up stuff Fang is cool to though... lol, I don't know I like all of them!) And 'Don't judge a girl by her cover' (main character is Cameron something, it's a spy series, that book is actually the third in the series...) There are tons others, but that's all I can think of right now Edit: I remembered a whole other series lol, 'The squires Tale' by Gerald Morris. It's mid-evil (I think that's the right word) and about the Knights of the Round Table, and King Aurthur (although they weren't even in the same time period in real...) Their interesting, yet very funny too. Most all of them have romance involved, and lessons to. The first one's of the series were my favorite, since some of the later ones were sort of boring (at least to me) PS. He also wrote a series of the knights in a younger kid version which I have also read, they were funny too, but they were mainly about the lessons, instead of being mixed with adventure and of course... romance. lol I still feel like I'm forgetting a really good one... Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery is currently my favorite book. It's a delightful book and beautifully written. I look forward to reading Anne of Avonlea, the second book in the series, after I've finished.
In addition, I'm very fond of The World of Fairies: At the Dawn of Pixie Hollow. The illustrations are lovely, and I like the fact that it's based on the movie version of Pixie Hollow. EDIT: I've finished Anne of Green Gables and I've started reading Anne of Avonlea! So far it's just as delightful as the first! Last edited by Fluffy Puff; 12-02-2009 at 02:57 AM. |

My favorite book is Midnight Magic by Avi. I don't even know what it is about the book that draws me in, but I cannot stop rereading it.
