What happened to BLUE Gems?

hi all!
only one of my fairies Misty Roseblossom has her royal gems badges and her other wilderness badges. So I have been working on my second fairy royal gems badges! And since the wilderness changes I have seen very few blue gems!
They use to be in the Never Mind but since changes I have not found them there especially at the end with the rewards! I have found yellow gems in the Silver Trees but very few blue gems and of course they moved the feathers to the bog but very few of them are found!

So I have been searching all the fairy wilderness quests and also just the scout quests and as of lately well the last week I cannot find any blue gems in any wilderness!

Have any of you noticed this or located any blue gems? This is sure a mystery to me where are the blue gems now located?

Yeah, I know what you mean!!

I was lucky enough to get some blue gems yesterday in the Never Mine, but I think it was just a scouting mission. It was quite long (had to go 3 times through those tunnel-thingies) and surprisingly got about 4-5 blue gems at the end. Don't think that happens often :\
Silly that they moved the yellow gems to the Silver Trees...why would they be there?? Best to put them back into the Never Mine, I reckon.

thank you onionleaf for responding. as for location switches I have wondered the same thing about feathers why switch them from trees to bog! I think it depends on as well that is what you find and how many. Well I will keep scouting

Who thinks that the rewards in the wilderness should ONLY be wilderness ingredients?? I mean, I can get spidersilk and twigs and whatever in just about any meadow on any server. But wilderness ingredients can only be found in the wilderness. And it does seem much harder to get them with the new changes. Here's what I think. The Never Mine should reward you with both yellow gems, blue gems, and bits of metal. The Bubbly Bog and Silver Trees should have a mix of truffles and feathers (maybe more feathers in Silver Trees and more truffles in the Bubbly Bog.)

It's just too hard to collect ingredients to get those Royal Badges. They should make all ingredient rewards in the Wilderness strictly wilderness ingredients. It makes sense, right?

EDIT: I just wrote to the Never Council about this. Hopefully they will consider changing it so all ingredients awarded in the wilderness are ONLY wilderness ingredients. Anyone who agrees should write in also.

I agree! I was in the Never Mine the other day and I got 3 (!!!) blue gems, a few spider silk, and the rest twigs! It was my first time scouting there and I was then now I'm just I have been working on my royals, and now they seem impossible I'm halfway to the gems (thank you mermaids) but not even close to the others. I hope they fix this soon, otherwise they will have quite a few unhappy fairies.

I agree! I went into the Never Mine once and got twigs and spider silk which I already have 10,000 in my pouch. So it was a wasted trip for me. I didn't get a single gem.

I have always thought that the wilderness needs all, or nearly all wilderness ingredients. Certainly no spider silk or twigs!!

Yes, they should so do that!
The only problem that I have is that there are older pixies that already have the royals, and it will mean that they had to get them the 'long and hard' way, while newer pixies will get an advantage. But the new changes have made it harder for us to get the royals... too many & , and not enough

I so agree with all of you. I go into the wilderness and they give me ingredients that I have 10,000 of. We should be able to get only wilderness ingredients in the wilderness. I so hope the NC listens to your letter June.

I will write in as well. Not only did they take the amount of ingredients away, they mixed it up so we have no idea where to get them. I am grateful to have had the mermaid grotto to get my royal gems, so does this mean they will be offering metal and feather bunches?

Well the Never Council wrote me back and here's their reply:

Hi ******,

Thanks for writing to us. There have been some changes made to Wilderness ingredients with the new updates. Blue gems are now found from tasks where you help frogs or squirrels. Please note that only the last ingredient you collect will show above your head, so be sure to check your pouch as many players think they were awarded far less ingredients than they actually were.

Blue Gems can also be found in the Never Mine Quests:

Talent Tailoring

Ingredients have different rarities; since many Wilderness ingredients are rare you would not be able to collect many ingredients at all in your adventures. Instead, you can collect some regular ingredients as well, in addition to the Wilderness ingredients that you find. I would be happy to suggest increasing the Wilderness drops but I can't promise what they will decide.

Am I to assume that after each animal we help that we are actually getting more ingredients than what they actually show over our heads? They usually just show one ingredient picture above your head after each challenge, but it sounds like maybe we are actually awarded more than that? Am I understanding that correctly? Either way, I prefer to see exactly what I'm being awarded as opposed to having mystery ingredients added to my pouch.

And it looks like we're more likely to find blue gems while helping frogs or squirrels and on the quests "Mine Your Manners" and "Tailoring Talent". Hopefully that will help those of us working on our Royals.

I sure hope they consider increasing the drop rate of the wilderness ingredients though. I know they are rare. But that's why we venture into the scary wilderness and use our pixie dust to find them.

I usually hear about 3 ingredients appear after I complete a challenge, but they don't seem to be wilderness ingredients; I've only seen Acorns, Lily Petals, Ivy, Twigs, and others.
-> I reckon they should bring back the table that shows us the total amount of wilderness ingredients when you're just about to leave. You guys remember, right? It really helped!

I totally agree Onionleaf. I liked seeing exactly what I was being awarded. It made it so much easier to keep track of my progress!

Thanks for writing in June, I took their advice and started on the Mine Your Manners quest, after all there are two frogs to be helped in the second part right? Anybody interested in my grand total?

Yep, one lousy truffle. I am seriously unimpressed with the wilderness changes so far.

EDIT:
I took a deep breath and went in again. I received 2 metals this time. Not sure where the NC has hidden those blue gems but it doesn't seem to be where they thought they had left them.
