Story; The Journey
Okay, so this is my first story, I hope it's not too difficult to read :P
Character: Sofia Madison Age: 13 Appearance: medium caramel colored hair, green eyes, tall, and thin Other info: they live with the Camori, a big cat like looking creature, its eyes are golden, its fur white, with blue faded stripes on the tail. This is set not in the human world, in a different world. I walk with Aiden to the main tree, the paper clasped hard in my hands. We walk up the branch pathways to the center, where Ava – Camori pack leader- lives. As we climb higher I bite my lip as we are so high up. The wind blows my hair into my eyes and I feel my limbs shake with the wind threating to push me off. Now we have to start climbing. My stomach turns as I grab a hold of the first branch. Putting my body as close as I can to trunk I climb after Aiden. About halfway up, my fingers lose grip, and the paper flies from my hand. “No!” I scream, and thrust out my hand after the paper. Suddenly I slip. “Sophia!” Aiden yells, and tries to grab me before I fall. Too late. I’m grabbing for the paper but lose balance and a sensation goes through me. I see the tree appear high above me and I’m falling. The wind blows hard and I go farther and farther from the tree and Aiden. The paper to my left, I scream, but it’s too late. I grab for the paper, and catch it but nothing stops me from falling. I close my eyes, and I feel the wind carry me. I’m like my own piece of paper, sailing helplessly through the wind. Thud! I hit the ground. “Am I dead?” I ask myself, and open my eyes. I’m not even near the tree. I uneasily get up and look around. No, I’m not dead, but I’m not home. Panic rises in me, and I pace around. A million voices boom through my head, arguing about which way to direct me. I walk out of the square I landed in, and see thousands of people and creatures, wandering around and talking with each other. I run out into the streets, my eyes wide. This is nothing like home. Big buildings line the street sides, creatures pulling carriages stop as others walk through the streets. People shout calling for costumers. I walk around aimlessly, and find myself bumping into someone. “Watch it!” She yells and dusts herself off. The girl is around my height, she has dirty blonde hair and gray eyes. She wears ripped blue jeans, a gray tank top, and sandals. ~I will leave off there! If enough people like it I will continue. All criticism is appreciated |

I didn't notice this thread before so I'm only reading it just now... but I think it's quite an interesting story so far! I like how you captured the tension of climbing so high. And I'm assuming you are going to explain why Sofia treasures that paper later in the story?
I'd love to read more! |

Okay! Here is the next chapter!
"Sorry!" I stutter. She looks at me and mumbles something to herself. I watch as she looks me over. Suddenly, her face goes pale, and she points at my forearm. I cast my eyes down to my arm and stare at the area in which she is pointing at. That's when I remember. The pale blue marks of a star with three lines beneath it is on my arm- the marks if the Camori. I quickly thrust my hand behind my back and begin backing away. "Your a member of the Camori?" she asks, "How the heck did you get here?" She glances around at the surrounding people, monsters, and woodlawn creatures. Soon, I come to my senses and am aware of everything around me. "I didn't think that the Camori exsisted anymore?" she says. "Why wouldn't we exsisted?" I ask her. Then I remember the paper. Fortunately, it's still in my hand, lightly crumbled. "What's that?" She asks, pointing her figure at the paper. Before I can pull it away, she grabs it from my hands and begins reading it. I try to grab it back, but she pushes me away. "A war announcement?" She is puzzled, "The Camori are under attack?" She asks me. "None of you business!" I snatch the paper away from her, and lightly fold it, putting it in the great pocket of my shirt. ~ Okay! That was chapter two! I hope you enjoyed it! Chpt. 3 will be coming soon! ~ Izzy |
