What--three pages and no Disney Fairies quotes?
Tinker Bell: The scene where Tink meets Terence at the side of the Pixie Dust Well (aka, one of my favorite scenes from the movie) The scene begins as the camera slowly moves away from Queen Clarion's chambers, higher up the Pixie Dust Tree, until the Pixie Dust Well comes into view. The Minister's laments over how all other seasonal preparations must be abandoned to prepare for Spring (thus postponing the arrival of all of their seasons as well) fade into the distance. Tinker Bell flies into view, soaring over to the edge of the well and lightly sitting down. It's a quiet night at the Well, and Tink believes no one is around to see her silently watch the pixie dust swirl and sparkle as she forlornly thinks over what she's done. Meanwhile, Terence, who is visiting the Well to measure the amount of dust in it, is caught off guard when he finds Tink there, head hanging low. He quietly flies up behind her. Terence: You okay, Tink? Tink is caught off guard by the presence of another fairy at the well. She hastily wipes away her tears as she decides to answer. Tinker Bell: Oh! Um... yeah... yeah, I-I-- I'm fine. Terence's face turns to one of confusion--he know's she's lying, but why? Tink continues to wipe the wetness off her cheeks as she speaks. Tinker Bell: I... just came hoping to get a quick refill. I'm going away for a while. The camera switches over to Terence, who is so wrapped up in trying to interpret what Tink might be thinking that it takes him a moment to reach for his dust cup and head to the edge of the Well. Terence: Oh. Uh, w--how long are you going to be gone? Tinker Bell: Well, actually... forever. Terence pauses in surprise, still bent over the well. It takes him a moment before recovering, dipping the dust cup extra deep into the sparkling depths. Terence: Forever. Well, huh, The 'huh' comes out almost like a soft nervous noise, as though he is still trying to recover from the suddenness of this information., in that case, a double scoop! huh. Terence lightly pours the pixie dust over Tink's head and shoulders. She smiles and puts her hands up, as though to watch the tiny glittering smidges fall across her palms. Terence: Forever's a pretty long time, so I hear. Tinker Bell: Thanks, Terence. Terence is about to fly over to a different part of the well, to begin measuring the depth of the Pixie Dust, when he stops and turns around in surprise. Terence: You... know my name? Tinker Bell: Well... sure. Why wouldn't I? Terence places the dust cup back on his belt before unhooking the knotted rope from his belt, preparing to begin his dust-keeper duties. Terence: Well, I don't know, I'm just the dust-keeper guy. Huh. The camera switches over to Tink, who looks up at Terence with surprise and a bit of confusion as she thinks this over. Terence continues. Terence: I'm not exactly seen as the most important fairy in Pixie Hollow. Here, Terence lightly swings the end of the rope--which is attached to a rock--into the well, measuring the distance it fell by beginning to tie a knot around the vine. Tinker Bell, so surprised by what he's said, decides to hover instead of sit. Tinker Bell: Terence, what are you talking about? You're probably the most important one there is! Here, the camera zooms in on Tink's face, and slowly pans around to include Terence's face, as well. Tinker Bell: Without you, no one would have any magic! Why, your talent makes you who you are. You should be proud of it! While Tinker Bell says this, a slow smile spreads across Terence's face as he glances over at Tink out of the corner of his eye. He chuckles again. Terence: Huh, I am. Tink looks over at Terence, surprised at his sudden response. Then, she slowly turns to face him as she thinks--really thinks--on what she's just said. She then glances up at Terence, who turns to face her, still smiling, and nods meaningfully. Tinker Bell: She stutters as the reality of what their conversation dawns on her. I-- I, um... I-- I better get going. She begins to fly off before turning around and looking back at Terence, who gives her a bright smile and a wave. Tink lightly waves back, before her face clouds with, with... not so much confusion as questioning, wondering how she can ever make what she's done right again, before she begins to fly off. On her way out, the camera lingers on the top of the Pixie Dust Tree, where, not so long ago, a little fairy with a mop of blond hair had discovered a brightly glowing hammer for the first time... Jingles, I tried. I really did, trying to convey as much emotion as this scene brings me, and tried to capture all of Terence's little... sighs? Chuckles? Noises as best as I could, but they just turned out as little hiccups... maybe if I attach the scene, it could make some sense? The actual scene probably does a much better job of conveying it than I did. Last edited by popcorn1234; 10-25-2014 at 04:54 PM. Reason: It's not perfect! |
