Video popups for non members is just taking it too far! They already pay double diamond prices and get very little to do in the Hollow, and now they have to be interrupted by popup ads? If the Never Council is trying to make Pixie Hollow less appealing to everyone, they're doing a good job.
Other than that I think the shop is fine for fairies who wanna use it, other than the fact that there is still some sort of bug when buying faces. But I've gotta admit I'm still disappointed we don't have the option to change our fairy's height. |

I am not a fan of the new changes. If they're going to work hard to bring new things to the hollow how about some new talent levels? We've been waiting a long time for those.

Seeing the regular prices skyrocket is not cool. I'm a member, but I don't think nonmembers really need to pay 110 diamonds more than me for a dress.

I have a lot of non member fairies and we hate the popups. I just wait the five seconds and skip them. I guess that's how I pay for playing free.
The spa is useful for being able to record the names and colors that my fairies have for wings, skin color and eye color, and the face number (in case I decide to change, I will know how to get the original back again). But so far, I am not changing anything. I did notice that when you try on a face and then put it back, the eyes stay the same but the rest of the face goes back to original. The only way to get it to go away is to leave the shop because it won't let you try on your current face. The outfits book is okay. I really think they could have given us at least one more free saved outfit. I am not going to spend diamonds to save any others. |

I thought my wording was a little off but I didn't know how else to explain it. I guess it does sound kind of ominous lol
And yes, I was able to get rid of it |

Alright, I asked the Never Council about my concerns with the new features, and I feel like they really took the time to read and consider my letter. There was even a typo, which must mean that they read my letter!
Here's what they said: Quote:

That is a wonderfully personal response! :O Obviously not copy-pasted. I haven't tried again to log in with a non-member fairy though, and if they recommend Chrome, the Ad Blocker is a common add-on...I wonder if they will fix the ad so you that we don't become stuck behind it :S
Or do I need to disable Ad-Blocker for PH? Has anyone figured out a way to fix the ad wall? EDIT: I made a thread specifically for the ads, because they are their own whole problem, here

Well, I've read all the responses and I'm with all of you who have said that the implications of the "magical" ability to recreate your fairy's face are very disturbing. I'd say, "Don't they realize...?" but the truth is they probably do, and instead of guarding young girls against self-image problems and deep insecurities, they are capitalizing on them and using them to their own advantage. It's devastating but true. Disney is in it for the money, period, and if encouraging young girls to change themselves on a whim means making money, Disney will do it.
From what I've read, Disney has said, apparently, that the users have been asking for this for years. I, for one, have no doubt that's true. Have you created a new fairy lately? Have you noticed how incredibly limited the options for creating a fairy are now? Last I checked, they only allowed two or three different hairstyles and about 5 "expressions." Given that, of course users have been demanding this! Their options have been severely limited ever since the notion of the "membership" came around. So instead of allowing girls to create a highly unique identity upon entering Pixie Hollow, like they used to, they wait until after they've already got the sign-ups, and then they hit them with all these other options that--gasp!--require money???? Shocking! I thought I was signing up for free, fun pastime! Wrong again. So yeah. That about sums up my disgust and disillusionment of Disney. But perhaps I never should have been so foolishly idealistic. Since when are the media's intentions for its viewers wholesome? It's been a long time since those days. |

It is a bit scary to change at a moments notice but I suppose for some they will do as they wish.
I took a look at all the options and I am going to keep all three of my fairies just the way they are. If they could, I would like to use dye to recolor the wings to a custom color. Must make winge.....more......blue!!! |

The updates -especially the doubled prices- makes quitting actually a referable option for non-member pixies like me. But because of the overwhelming amount of rants contradicting the updates, I'm sure the Council will take notice, if someone send them the link to this rant, so I ain't quitting right now. I''ll just sit here and see what happens to the Hollow.

Well, I've had a chance to go into the hollow yesterday to experience some of the new features ( finally ) and I'm not impressed at all. I wouldn't change anything about my fairy unless it was a new hair style and or color but that's just MY preference. I'm sure there are many who find it exciting and fun
The outfits notebook is very cute and I do enjoy that very much, but again it revolves around real money and diamonds which others can't afford. AND I can't tell you "how sad I am" about the way the NC expresses how paid members and their memberships should make us feel like we're getting MORE?? out of our memberships--> by giving us members discounts? and depressing others who couldn't obviously pay those outrageous prices at the queens boutique and or pixie post office!? Tis a sad day really, for MANY. Of course this is just my 2 *Tries to took towards the ...

I think I would rather have a real discount, as in lowering the price--rather than increasing it and then almost doubling the amount that non-members must pay. Now that would make me feel like I was getting more from my membership. Never Council, please don't insult our intelligence with this fake discount!
