2 years ago today was a pretty sad day for all us fairy fans. Two years ago Pixie Hollow closed down. A game full of magic, fun and friendship. A game where your imagination went soaring, a game that will always be more than just a game. A game in which many of us love and cherish, a game that will be in our hearts forever. While it is sad that we have lost such a wonderful game I think we should focus on the good times of Pixie Hollow. Focus on the happy times.
I remember the meadows oh so beautiful the soft gentle sounds of nature in the background. The silly sweets that gave you crazy effects, the parties/celebrations for the seasons and holidays. Oh so many beautiful memories that I think so much of today. Today lets have a happy day as we remember that just because the game is closed doesn't mean we must forget. Faith Trust and Pixie Dust! |

I loved meeting all the famous fairies and earning badges. Speaking of which:
Sometimes I would sit my fairies in their gardens in one window while surfing the web and listening to the garden noises, it was so relaxing. I made this special graphic for today! I probably should have downsized it... |

I'm currently listening to the music right now as I type this; each song reminds me of a memory. Like, Petal Pick-Up just started playing, and I can remember trying to desperately loop petals late one night in 2009/2010 so I could earn enough ingredients to buy the Girly Curlies hairstyle for Eve for the first time. I was so proud when I had earned it!
And then Snowy Lullaby... shortly after the closing, I was still able to listen to the music of it and tap my fingers as though I was playing on the arrow keys. I loved that game more than I thought! And then First Flight--helping guide the birdies with Neverbelle's helpful guide and fussing over the sheer adorableness of the tiny chicks! And then the music for the light talents' home starts playing... so many memories of being with Eve in her home. Redecorating for a party, putting up a new furniture item just earned from a new quest, hosting Neverlight parties with all my PHF friends with me to celebrate the event; dances, tea parties, telling stories, acting in stories, or even just sitting and relaxing, me chatting with Eve and getting her in her pajamas just before I would log off to sleep...

I loved everything about Pixie Hollow! From attending the events, to playing the mini-games. I've been listening to Pixie Hollow tunes every day recently just so I can avoid mainland drama, and I've been setting my desktop background to Pixie Hollow meadows.
The artwork was amazing, I loved all the magical details and how my fairy always trails pixie dust. I felt just like a real fairy. Although it's closed, I'll never forget the good old days of Pixie Hollow. It'll always be in my heart. |

Wow Sapphira did you make that Immortal badge yourself for the 2nd Anniversary? It's beautiful and really speaks to how I felt when Pixie Hollow closed. Chipmunk Merrymint packed up her animal talent things and set off for an apprenticeship with Beck So bittersweet.

Yes I did make the badge, piecing it together. I wanted a picture that reminded me of the old Pixie Hollow that told me that the fairies are still there and doing their usual talent jobs. I also thought it looked like Tinker Bell was packing things up and leaving - for a grand adventure.

*sniffles* I couldn't have said it all better myself. It was such a nostalgic day yesterday, September 2013 suddenly felt so much closer, as though it was only a few months ago that we last flew together. I'm just glad that I don't feel like such an oddball when I know that I'm not the only one who hasn't forgotten about the game. A big virtual group hug to you all!
I miss participating in all the events with the changing of the seasons, tossing Lost Things into baskets, mixing & matching the perfect outfit for Alexia, jumping in fright when the corn pops on my turn and then laughing about it afterwards... *sigh* But yes, you said to be cheerful! I think it's incredible how I've managed to meet so many fun, thoughtful, encouraging friends thanks to Pixie Hollow. That is something that will never disappear and I am SO thankful for it. @Sapphira: Your badge is magnificent! I'm kind of at a loss for words... it's just perfect. ^^

I feel like when they made Pixie Hollow they unwittingly created pure magic.
