Lightbulb How I make 3D edits.

I was bored so I decided to post a tutorial on how I make 3D edits.
The editor I use is GIMP. If it is misunderstanding, I can answer questions
If you want a video I can upload one and post it on this thread.

I start by downloading a PDF file of the fairy you want to make 3D by printing it on a PDF printer. Then, I look up Disney Fairy images on Google. I choose one for the 3D model and paste it on a browser of GIMP. I open the PDF image of my fairy on another browser and I am ready to go!.

I use the Free Select tool to select the hair style of the 2D picture and I press Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste to the 3D model. I flip the hair if I need to and change the size with the "Scale" tool. I like selecting the WHOLE hair with the 2D arms to save time. I use the "Clone" tool to remove the arms and other unwanted parts and still show the hair. I fix the arm with the clone tool too. I remove unwanted parts from the cloning with the "Smudge" tool. I erase parts of hair from the 3D model and select a outfit piece from the 2D model. I do the same with the hair. If the outfit covers a piece from the 3D model like a arm, I make sure I have another image of the 3D model on another browser. I select the part that the 2D outfit covers and paste it on the other model. I repeat the steps until I got everything I wanted covered!

For the backround, I paste a picture of a Pixie Hollow meadow from Disney Online Worlds.com and I paste it on another GIMP browser. I free select the 3D fairy and paste it on my background. I use the Text tool to add text. I merge the layers together (Ctrl+M) and copy and paste it on Paint. I save my picture, upload it to Photobucket and add lighting and effects with the editor.

Remember, if you have questions just ask me!

Speacial thanks to Onionleaf for helping me get started
