My nephew has a non member sparrow man. I gave him a gift of some diamonds (I purchased them with my credit card for his account). He used them to buy a pet, but he doesn't get on Pixie Hollow a lot, so I try to take care of his pet for him. He let it go so long one time (very red health button) and Elixa's quest required him to purchase something at Treetop Housewares. I can't remember what the item was, but it was 2 diamonds to purchase it. I try not to let it get down that low anymore, he only gets diamonds now for leveling up.

I actually don't think it's fair. Say you where a non - member, you had to go on vacation ( with no PC or Mac with you ) to a resort. You have a ladybug that is an adult. Now, when you return home, your ladybug is unhealthy, bored, and hungry. You take her to Elexia's. The quest is for members. You saw a " healing potion " when you clicked " go to Elexia's ". You clicked it again, and the healing potions costs FIVE DIAMONDS. Now, you have three ways to go. One, become a member. That takes a lot of time! And for what? A small animal friend. Two, pay diamonds. Five diamonds is a lot. Mostly since diamonds are paid for, and you need every last diamond to pay for that thing in the PPO, or whatever shop. Three, let the ladybug go. So you either pay, or you let the animal friend go. Looks like you don't have a choice. Anyone see what I'm aiming at? Anyways. This is why we should all keep our fuzzy critters healthy.

When I bought the brand-new animal friend, all the health icons were at 75, so I fed the animal friend, and when I clicked on ''Health'' the healing potion popped up. Which I am not sure if I am right, but I think if the pet's health goes to 75, that's when they require you to use the five diamonds. I am going to have to contact the NC about this, so many questions. |

For those of you that are very careful about how and where you spend your diamonds (aren't we all? LOL), I offer this information to you.
So it is still less expensive to do the Flu quests than to purchase a Healing Potion. The Healing Potions are more time efficient though, if you have the Diamonds to splurge (read that as waste ). Hope that helps a little! ~ Em

Wow, I had no idea that you had to buy stuff if your animal got really sick. That's good to know in case of a vacation or something where you don't have access to a computer for a lengthly amount of time...makes me mad that it's even an issue, though.
I clicked to take Bitsy to the hospital today and about FLIPPED when I saw the Healing Potion thing pop up, because for a second I thought it was the ONLY option now, heh. I was relieved when I looked more closely and saw I could still go on the quest. Still, I find the whole idea to be completely ludicrous. Instead of nickel and "diamonding" everything to death for a supposed "solution" to the non-member problem of not healing sick animals, how about making NONE of the healing quests involve purchases?? If they're finding that non-members aren't willing to buy an item in the shop to heal their pet, what on earth makes them think that we'd pay FIVE diamonds for a potion?? |

Disclaimer: not really a rant, more poking fun at some of these issues with a large dose of sarcastic humor :P
The staggering costs of health care are burden even in Pixie Hollow? This is too mainland an issue for my fairy fantasyland!! Perhaps future fairy health insurance policies will be offered by the Never Council? Maybe a smaller copayment of 1 diamond? This certainly make a Healthy and Happy Butterfly pet more attractive. Could this be part of a larger marketing plan? |

I got on my Cousins account he never gets on it and he had a animal friend so i got on and started taking care of it and i had to do a quest and i got to the treetop ware house where you had to buy something i think this is not fair for non-members because most non-members spend them on clothes i think they should edit that for non-members because its not very nice.

diamonds for healing?? Now that's a bit greedy, don't you think? No I don't approve of that one at all! I will see the doc, that's why she is there.

In my opinion, the potion is ok. It saves time even though it takes 5 diamonds out of your account. But the quest isn't that hard too. So you have the choice; spend 5 diamonds on a healing potion (which is quick) or spend a little of each ingredient at Elixa's for a while. So they are both equal at cost but Elixa's takes a little longer. I manage to complete the simple quest as quick as possible!

I have many friends that get their diamonds from leveling, and have zero by the end of the day. If a non member bought her pet then had zero diamonds, how could she pay for an item at the shop? Her only choice is letting her animal get sick and bored until it leaves.
