I need ideas! My mom's birthday was last weekend, so it can be tricky with her birthday and mother's day so close to each other. For her b-day, I gave her new gardening gloves with leather palms and fingertips, some hammered copper stakes to mark where certain herbs are growing (I think I got lavender, mint and...what was the third one?...) and a gardening hat She will be so cute in her little hat, digging in her garden! Once it stops raining here, that is!

So please do post ideas, I need them! Last year, I gave her a mani pedi myself, she said it meant more than going to the salon to have someone else do it ^_^

Normally i cook a meal and bake something nice for my mom and i make a card normally not sure what we are gonna do other than that.

For the past few years my Mom and I have a Mother & Daughter Tea, just a nice simple one. I usually dress up, she usually doesn't
I make her a card and a little craft item, like one year I made decorative felt cookies.

Oh I think that's a great thing to do on Mother's day! Tea times are always special.

Actually, my birthday is the same day as Mother's Day It's a bit odd, but it usually means we get to share the presents and give each other hugs and cards in turn.

This year however, we might (I'm not sure) but we MIGHT go to a music concert together to see one of her favorite musicians.

My little sister and I always get our mom a nice piece of jewelry then we take her out to eat and do some shopping. This year we are getting her an Infinity Mom Ring similar to the one below. I think this year we are going to try (emphasis on try!) to cook a nice dinner for her.




Edit~ I forgot to mention that we have a Mother's Day cookout for my mother, grandmother and great-grandmother every year. We don't allow the mom's to cook or clean up afterwards
