Tinkerbell DS Game
Ok, so this thread will be about the first ever Tinkerbell DS game. It is like a long lasting game where you play as Tinkerbell and get to explore Pixie Hollow and help change the seasons. Lets hear about it shall we? When you begin the game, you will get a task to prepare for spring. The fairies will help you and there will be pink arrows to guide you. In your first preparations of summer, autumn and winter, your fairy friends will guide you but there won't be pink arrows. When you finish your first year of seasons, you won't be guided so you will have to find the items yourself. (info will be on the "items" column.Contents: 1.Starting 2.Fairy Friends 3.Items 4.Secrets Starting: Fairy Friends: Friends are a great part of the game! The other fairies can be the main movie characters or fairies inspired by background fairies from the movie. When you talk to a fairy for the first time, he or she will be added to your friends list. Most of the fairies have a friendship meter. It will increase when you complete an errand on time, give her a good gift or just chat with her! It will decrease if you don't keep in touch, give her something she doesn't like or give her a repaired item passed the deadline. Each fairy is different. Here are the fairies who aren't one of the main characters:Chipper:Tinker Fairy Olwen:Garden Fairy Luminaria:Light Fairy Cera:Water Fairy Nollie:Animal Fairy Idalia:Garden Fairy (specializes in flowers) Elwood:Fast Flying Sparrow Man Qana:Snowflake Fairy Magnolia:Leaf Fairy Baden:Scout Sparrow Man Blair:Painting Fairy (runs personalized clothing shop) Augustus:Runs clothing shop and Dart Wheel Mariana:Works at clothing shop Dewberry:Fruit Fairy Rune:Storytelling Sparrow Man Here's what the fairies do: Chipper:The first fairy you meet! She will give you new recipe cards and you can get advice from her Iridessa:Once a day, you can hunt for jewel stones with her Dewberry:Give her seeds and she can grow a fruit Fawn:Play the Silkworm Thread mini game with her Baden:Seen if you try to get in a meadow blocked by a hawk Blair:Always seen at the paint shop. She can help you make personalized clothing. Silvermist:Play the Dewdrop Collecting mini game with her Cera:She can read the babbling brook and tell you the rumor (like if you set a trend) Quana:Give her snow grains and she can trade it for a snowflake Vidia:Get a chance to fly and score points and maybe race Vidia! Rosetta:Play the Ladybug Painting mini game with her Olwen:Give her seeds and she can grow a flower Idalia:Give her flower petals and she can trade it for a flower Magnolia:Give her leaves and she can trade for items Ministers:Visit them at the preparations for each season! They will give you an item list as well as items to repair Augustus:He runs the Fairy wheel and you can give him things to trade for Fairy Medals or you can trade Fairy Medals for an item Mariana:She can process threads, wrap presents and more! Rune:Tells you story's sometime Terrance:Visit him when you see a balloon wagon and he will give you an item and maybe tell you a poem! The rest of the fairies are for chatting with only. Fairy Mary and Bobble don't have a friendship meter. They are seen when you enter the game each day. Fairy Mary is seen when you enter every day and gives you fairy darts. If you complete an achievement, she gives you gold fairy darts. Bobble appears when there is a special event or when you will increase a tinker title. Items: Items like flowers, shells, etc are randomly found in the meadows and sometimes a gift from fairies. Here are how some items are found:Seeds:Earned by playing the Ladybug Painting game Pink flower petals:Fly around in Spring Valley to collect them Yellow flower petals:Fly around in Sunflower Meadow to collect them Green leafs:Fly around in the Flower Garden or the Summer Glade to collect them Yellow leafs:Fly around in the Fall Forest to collect them Red leafs:Fly around in Harvest Promenade to collect them Snow Grains:Fly around the Winter Woods to collect them Gemstones:Hunt for them once a day with Iridessa Thread:Found in Tinker's Nook and earned by playing the Silkworm Thread game Dewdrops:Earned by playing the Dewdrop Collecting game Yellowberries:Earned from Fairy Wheel or by planting white seeds with Dewberry. You can ether exchange for lots of Fairy Medals with Augustus or give them to a fairy and your friendship meter really increases! You can also earn items by playing the Fairy Wheel. Secrets: There are 4 secret areas in the game. One in each season. Click on a orange light and you will be taken to a Secret Passage game. Use these to find out how the orange lights get reveled: Spring:Go to the Everblossom spot and keep twirling around the flower until it is fully open Autumn:Go to the log spot in Pine Tree Grove and keep twirling around the last mushroom in line until the mushroom area is open Winter:Wake up the multi colored butterfly in the Winter Woods Summer:Wait until there is a full moon (Bobble will tell you) then go to the beach cove and glow near the lake. These will give you a mini game where you have to collect the orbs before time runs out. Each orb has an item inside. It is the game for all the secret passageways. The only passageway I haven't seen is the summer one. If you know when the full moons are, feel free to tell us! That was the game! If you have anything to share, please reply!

Just some things I'd like to add:
Secrets--Minigame Description Occasionally, when you twirl around the specific objects, and go into the secret sparkle minigame, you collect fairy medals (currency in-game), not just ingredients. Also, that minigame, like all minigames, are timed. As the time continues on, the screen becomes foggier and foggier--you are flying in the clouds during this minigame, after all! If you collect all the objects (somewhere from 15-16 objects), a rainbow-colored object will appear. The goal is to capture it, and receive a bonus prize--often a rare item, or a lot of an item (such as a lot of fairy medals!). The bonus prize is hard to catch--it moves quickly, and bounces around the screen. There isn't really a trick to catching it. You fly slower than the object, so it gets out of reach easily. As soon as it gets off screen, I believe it respawns (reappears) in another area entirely, so you can't really follow it's trail! Secrets--Queen Clarion's Magic Book If you visit Queen Clarion, you may chat with her, or you may "open the Magic Book", and enter in a code you find. Disney was originally going to release these codes to the public (probably in shops, or something), but never did. However, our helpful fairies from the Forum have collected all of them!! Spoiler for Quote from Clione--ALL TINKER BELL DS CODES:
Special Events Pixie Dust Balloons: Pixie Dust balloons visit Pixie Hollow from time to time. They will show up on your Pixie Hollow Map as a big balloon icon in the Pixie Dust Tree. Visit Terence, and he'll tell you what he "found" in there. The things he finds in there are actually Secret Codes that you can enter into Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow Online! (They still work, and I believe there are a total of 4-5 codes that this game gives you from time to time.) There is no way to predict when a balloon will come, I'm pretty sure it's completely random! Full Moons The Full Moon corresponds to the Full Moon on the Mainland. Check your local news/calendar to see when this is. (For example, tonight is actually a full moon!) One of the best places to see the Full Moon is at the Autumn Revelry area. (Nothing special happens there, though, its just nice to look at. ) New Year's Eve Probably the last thing you're thinking about is visiting your DS on New Years Eve. But, the first year I celebrated it, Bobble gave me a nice dress (Either Tink's dress in another color--I believe blue?--or the Red Lily Dress, which I love.). Visit Terence, and he'll give you a poem about New Years Eve you can keep, and access again at your home (fly into your home, and visit the seashell chair thing. There should be a notification with a quill on it at all times. Choose "Story" (Rune's stories he tells you are saved here) or "Poem" (Terence's poems he shares with you are saved here). Visit the "Poem" section and you can read Terence's poem.) Just before the countdown, fly to the Pixie Dust Tree courtyard (also called the Pixie Hollow Vista. You can visit whichever area you want--Autumn Woods, Winter Woods, Spring Meadows, Summer Meadows, or the Pixie Dust Tree). Terence will meet up with you there, and you'll count down the new year, before fireworks are all set off! Your Birthday This isn't Tinker Bell's arrival day we're talking about, this is your actual birthday (as programmed into your DS). The main music changes, and many fairies greet you. I believe Bobble gives you a dress on your first birthday celebration, but I'm not sure. Hawks Yes, I know they aren't really a "special event", but they still visit the Hollow from time to time. They block off a certain meadow area--anything you were going to do with a person in that meadow/a place in that meadow may have to wait a few hours to a day (most fairies located in that meadow move to other ones, except for the ministers and some fairies that are specifically involved in an activity in that meadow, like Blair and her paint shop). However, after the hawk leaves, the meadow is usually filled with lost things. If you brighten your glow (a trick you should eventually learn from Iridessa), you can find even more!! Quests Other than chatting with other fairies, they will occasionally ask you to find things for them (objects, occasionally animals), deliver things to other fairies, and sometimes they will give you things to tinker. The tinkering items have deadlines, so try to tinker the items and get them back to the fairies before the deadline! (will edit later) Last edited by popcorn1234; 07-07-2013 at 04:46 PM. |

Summer Festival:
Bobble gives you a blue holiday dress (which looks a little like Tink's dress) on the first day you attend and I think you have to do favors for fairies to earn the rest. I saw fairies wearing accessories along with the dress and some were wearing a rainbow outfit. The music changes and you see fireworks when you visit Pixie Hollow Visita. Terrence gives you a summer poem and Rune tells a story of Silvermist and the Ladybug Curse. Plus, Midsummer Hills is decorated! (probably edit later) |

By the way, here's something I've never figured out. I know how to pat animal friends by flying slowly up to them and tapping on them when they're sleeping, or just flying up to an awake animal friend, and touching/holding the stylus over them until the heart appears. However, I have never learned how to tickle an animal friend. Fawn has tried many times until ultimately giving up on me. Help?

How do I get the birthday stuff? My birthday falls on New Year's Eve, and all a Bobble told me was it was NYE and didn't mention my birthday. I thought maybe NYE overdid my birthday, so I changed it in my DS to Jan. 2, but all Bobble told me was there was a full moon. Maybe that event overdid my birthday too? Gonna change it to the 3rd now and see if that works.

When you start the game, it asks you when your birthday is.

Does your DS have your birthday programmed into it? You need to go to its settings and type in your birthday in order for the Tinker Bell DS game to celebrate it.
Also something I'm going to put out here: time-travelling. It's when you change your DS settings to believe it's a certain date (like a holiday), then enter a DS game to celebrate with the characters before changing the date settings back to normal. When you change the date settings back to the current date, all of the characters of the game will forget the last time you were on, and will tell you "you've been gone a long time!" even if you've only been gone a day. Fairy Mary thinks a hawk has gotten me, and then gives me a fairy dart "for not being eaten". Same thing happens with other games that are time/date oriented (ex. Animal Crossing) Also, fun thing to try tonight: Quote:
EDIT: Summer one looks exactly the same as the other secret areas, except it has more of an aqua tint to the background, rather than being a bright blue. Last edited by popcorn1234; 01-03-2015 at 06:28 AM. Reason: Solving the mystery |
