only read when I had to in school. Several decades ago I read the James Herriot books. Now my old eyes can barely deal with computer reading at work. Tired old eyes
It was all the animals great and small. I did learn some old vet solutions used in the old days and they still work today. |

Dork Diaries
I remember awhile back I used to be obsessed with the Dork Diaries series. If you guys are not familiar with the series it is basically about the life of Nikki Maxwell who keeps personal diaries that feature doodles/comic strips that capture the daily drama of her life.
I fell in LOVE with the series because I could relate to Nikki, and I shared a similar middle school experience like hers. I'm currently reading Note to Self by Connor Franta |

I'm currently reading various Star Wars novels. One being "Heir to the Jedi". The story focuses on Luke Skywalker. It's set shortly after "A New Hope". I'm only halfway, or almost halfway, done and so far all that has happened is Luke and this new woman he met have been going on different missions for the Rebel Alliance. All the while Luke is still figuring out how to use the Force and be a Jedi. I'm hoping something crazy happens soon.

I just finished a book called "See Me" by Nicholas Sparks. Now don't get me wrong, I can go any day reading the likes of "The Notebook" or "The Choice" and all that, but this one was a bit different. Yes, it is a love story; but it is also a thriller/suspense/mystery too! It's the story of Maria and Colin -- how they meet, fall in love, and solve the mystery of who is stalking Maria. It was a good read and I would recommend it. Of course, I am a fan of Nicholas Sparks though.

I'm reading "SpacePop: Not Your Average Princesses", adapted into written form by Erin Downing. It's based on the YouTube animated series of the same name. I found the series by their CD, and liking the music I had to watch the show. It's about a group of princesses from different planets having to go into hiding after an evil empress takes over the galaxy, but they can't stand doing nothing to help liberate their planets that they decide to form a band to sing songs to promote freedom and resistance against the terrible empress. Soon enough they catch the attention of a rebel organization that enlists them to be spies.
It's pretty funny, in my own opinion. I think of it as a girl version of Star Wars - not that Star Wars isn't for girls as well as boys. Their butler reminds me of C-3P0. What I like about the book version is that it has more details than the cartoon, like what the girls looked like before their makeover so people wouldn't recognize them as princesses.

I am currently reading a book called Love Among the Walnuts by Jean Ferris. It is a novel about a guy who was raised away from society, and then his evil uncles try to get rid of him and his parents. But then he and a nurse befriend some "unwanted" people. Anyways.... it is cute little book, that I have not actually finished yet.

I'm currently reading Finding Audrey for the hundreth time. It's my favorite book and it's by Sophie Kinsella I believe. It's a contemporary romance about a girl who has severe social anxiety and how the romance helps her overcome it. Beyond the romance in the book, it shows a lot of the main character's family dynamic and is hilarious.

I recently had to read To Kill a Mockingbird for school and it was very good, despite being obligatory for a grade. I recommend for you all to read it if you haven't already or if you never had/have to read it for school since it is a popular read for English classes. It is quite an American classic and it is one of those books everyone should read.
I totally remember reading some of the dork diary books too! I can only vaguely remember what the story lines of them were.

I'm not a story book or novel readers. However, I prefer to read science-fiction instead. Recently, I've read about the planets, the solar system, and the interesting facts about them. I find out that those things are more interesting than reading a story book.

Lately I have been reading everything about Greek Mythology. I read the Percy Jackson books and got so interested in the mythology behind all of the characters.

Thanks for your patience, I got lost in the book I was reading and just climbed out of pages! One of my favorite authors is Laura Lippman. Her series is about a private investigator who solves crimes in my home state of Maryland!!
