4500 points for a Cami???
OK, this "IS" whining. Yes, I know that, but isn't 4500 points for a rosepetal cami just a LITTLE BIT high??? Even given the double points if you are a really good tailor, 4500 will take nearly an entire fairy lifetime, won't it???
Does anyone have tips on the tailoring? I'm a fairly good spider stitcher and pattern placement is fine. Are we supposed to actually control that roly poly for the fabric dying or are we just on for the "pin ball machine" ride? And the caterpillar cutting on that new camisole is endless. If anyone has tips for dying and cutting, I'm all ears!! Thanks! Lavender Fernclove |

Actually for me that patttern wizzed by.
I started & finished it in one sitting. I think it was about 25 times with the double points. It takes about 3-4 minutes to complete each one. Depending on internet connection. I really wanted that top so I kept working til it was done. PS: You are really gonna Freak When you get to the 15,000 point patterns!

No Kidding!
I'm currently working on the Striders Pattern ~ which is 11,000 points, so I can unlock the Tall Leaf Boot Pattern.
Not sure how many points that one is going to be! Just keep sewing, just keep sewing!

I am not worthy.....
Well, knowing what the patterns are in the future, and hearing what you all are doing now, I realize my wimpering is pathetic.

Wow! Awesome!
Thanks Tex!
I really appreciate that Tailoring Guide. I like the little frames you put each picture in ~ very nice touch. Some of those clothes I have never seen. Now I have a reason to tailor ~ well, other than the seasonal tailoring badges, of course! LOL You deserve a Large Neverberry Cake all for yourself!

We did too when we saw the points kept getting higher & higher and out of this world! Quote:
Thank you for the cake... I will share it with my fellow contributors. I did not create that page by myself. Up in the Air helped me learn how & set it up. Jungle Cruse has added Tons to the page also. The frames are what you see when you look in "Crafts" in your leaf journal. I outlined the pattern placements with Paint.net program Some of the info (for patterns I have not completed yet) were given to me by June RoseWillow, Pink Plumeria, Leeta Mountianbloom & Of course, Jungle Cruse added alot.

It's not wimpering or pathetic, fairy friend. We all need to vent now and then and that's why the board is here. I sometimes feel just they way you do about tailoring. Lately I've only done it for the seasonal tailoring badges because it makes me a little after awhile!

Working on that one myself Lavender and it seems easy compared to some. Also working on the 9,000 point moonbeam belt and THAT one is a pain. So is the meadow grass sarong. Some of them are much worse, so good luck as we both head towards the 15,000 point patterns! lol

The only tip I can give on the roly poly, is get the ball to hit one of the top pegs at the right angle to get it to go horizonally across the material. Hard to describe how to do that, I line it up close to inside the lower peg so when it releases it goes straight up and just catches upper peg. It will, most of the time, hit and go straight to the left or right depending on what side you start on. Most of the time it will go back and forth several times down the material filling in a good portion before it hits lower pegs, from there it will go every which way. Some patterns the ball doesn't get going very fast and I have found them the hardest to fill the area before you run out of dye. The fast moving balls I just try to keep it going without losing it, not always easy when the paddle is the size of a pea and trying to follow the ball. As for cutting, all I can say is try to get the cake stretched out before the start and try to stay on the line. New patterns it takes me a few tries to get the timing down and some patterns there is no making the caterpillar go faster like on some of lower number patterns. Good Luck and Happy Tailoring!
