Google Chrome Won't Always Launch...
As many of you know, I am a devout Google Chrome user. For the past week or so, whenever I click on the Google Chrome pin on my bar, it looks like the window is loading, but then it "fades" (it goes away, like I exited out or something). The window never comes up when this happens. No matter how many times I press the pin, it won't go. When I get back on a few hours later, I have at least two windows of Google Chrome up. I've tried internet searches to see if anyone has had this problem, and they have. But on Windows 7. I have Windows 8. I wasn't too brave to actually delete the app, because I went to my Store app, clicked on the Google Chrome app, clicked on the website that I was supposed to download it from, but it wouldn't appear. I've troubleshooted the problem, and sent a report to Microsoft. It said that Google Chrome was incompatible. How do I make it compatible, and make it launch all the time, whenever I click it, just like before? And is anyone else having this problem?

Try clearing your history and deleting old programs from your computer. Sometimes Chrome didn't open for me because my computer's memory was too full.

I had this problem many times before! It sounds like your computer is very slow. To speed it up, I usually run something called "Advanced System Care" and it usually works. However, there are many ways to speed it up. Try deleting programs that you do not use and run Defragment. Good luck!

Check your downloads, I get the same thing because I downloaded gimp uncarefully and accepted many thing and accidently downloaded snapdo so check your downloads because some of your downloads cause viruses like this to happen all the time to make your PC slow. Warning: BE CAREFUL SNAPDO CAUSED VIRUSES ON MANY PCs , or you should try to look up PC cleaners or PC speeders

Rosalina, IGoogle shut i am using plain old google too. IGoogle was a search engine you could decorate and have as much on your front page as you want. Like game, movie times, weather, pictures, etc. You made it your own. Google concentrates on google chrome now.

Hazel, did you get this problem fixed?
Sometimes, if a program doesn't launch for me, I click 'control+alt+delete' to open up the control panel. In the list of running programs, I will see that I have two or more of the same program running (ex: yahoo messenger). This sort of freaks the program out, so I click 'end program' on the menu and restart the program again. This usually solves the problem. And yes, I SO miss iGoogle! It was such an easy way to keep all of my stuff on one page. Google is boring now, with no customization. Last edited by nevaeh; 01-11-2014 at 09:12 PM. Reason: added something |

For the most part, Captain Cinnamon! Sometimes it takes a minute or two to load after I've just turned it on but other than that it looks like the problem is fixed!
Oh, I remember iGoogle! I was really upset when they shut it down, it was very helpful with the email and google search engine and all the cool customization features! |
