I am not happy at all with this new feature. And although I appreciate the fact that my very young daughter's account does not have access to it, I realize there are many ways for this feature to be abused. The violation of privacy alone (for older players) concerns me the greatest. This gets a big thumbs down from me.

Not to mention, it downplays the magical, whimsical feel to the Hollow for me. When I fly into the Hollow, I want to be lost in a special place where my imagination can take flight. I don't want to be reminded of the real world and the dishes that need to be washed, the laundry that needs to be folded, the errands that need to be run or the office work that needs to be completed.

I am glad to see that the majority of us are in agreement -- remove Facebook from the Hollow, Never Council!

Ewww! I'm sorry to be dramatic, but I hate this! I'm not even allowed to use Facebook, but even if I was I don't think Pixie Hollow is the place for all that kind of junk. Pixie Hollow is a special place! Really Never Council, really?

That was one of the reasons to join Pixie Hollow--that I joined PH--to escape. Then, of course, things changed...

And fb was dropped upon us like a falling tree.

I'm beginning to consider asking the Never Council... they'll give me an indirect answer, of course, but still. Why?

The facebook share button on pixie hollow (our pixie journal) is very ridiculous. it's invasion privacy and bad for kids.
I hope they will remove that soon.

UGH!!! Thank goodness you can disable it!!! What would a real fairy know about the technology of facebook? Nothing against fans of facebook but, if ya wanna share your stuff take a screen shot and make an album. My sister pretty much forced me to make one and I think I've checked it maybe 10 time in the 2-3 years it has been active. Keep the Hollow magical and not e-media marketable. Terrible decision NC, take that one back to the drawing board, scratch it out and then crumple it up and toss it in the trashcan!!

As far as we know, they no NOTHING of it! So, Facebook.. really? Then, again I like it. Some people make a Facebook account for their fairy! I have not, but I know friends who have. So, this button comes in handy when you have a differnt FB account for your fairy.

I guess I am torn :/

Why would they do this? To me, that is such a privacy issue! I wouldn't want to link my Pixie Hollow account with any other site.

Alexia, you are not the only one. I know quite a few people that would never make a facebook account, and me being one of them.

I also never understood why people did the other social sites when that started. I like my privacy and I am not going to share my life and pics of me or family to the whole world. That is just crazy.

I'm making a fairy right now (because it's my birthday and I want a fairy to have her arrival day on my birthday ) and when I was almost done something popped up that wanted me to post to Facebook that I just made a new fairy and wanting others to join too... Things just keep getting worse and worse.

While I DO hate the idea of incorporating FB into Pixie Hollow ...... atleast it is not letting us TWEET everything we do! ARGH! That would be MUCH worse! Could you imagine??

I do have a facebook account for my fairy with only gamer information on it, but with that, locations can be discovered and most importantly MANY people who have these gamer accounts are totally inappropriate! This is why it worries me so. For some lovely fairy to be encouraged to create an account just so she can subjected to interacting with that, frightens me terribly. The two should not be mixed. Disney has failed trying to protect by 'selling out' to this feature.

Pixie Hollow should get rid of its new facebook feature. PH is a place to have fun and stuff, not facebook! We should make some sort of petition or something to stop it. Im going to contact PH about this. if you guys want to tell them to knock it off with this Facebook thing that would rock. Their email is [email protected]
