Pixie Hollow Forums Graphic Contests (Season 1)

Hello everyone,

This thread itself, is my 1000th post. Thanks everyone, to make my days better than before, especially to the Mod staff, thanks to teach me to talk more politely. To represents my thanks, I will be having a contest for everyone to join. Since I had been inactive for some days, I will back more actively in this forum and I had practiced new styles of graphic from other wonderful drawing sites. I will explain this new graphic styles after this contest is over (preventing from cheating ideas).

Back to the topic, so this is a special contest that's different from usual graphic contests in this forum. To describe, PHF Graphic Contests is a contest when you will be given a task to do, you do the task, and there will be the best one for each tasks and some who will be eliminated in each tasks. If you're still in the contest and pass all the tasks, you will become the winner.

- Forum Rules
- You can submit Computer and Hand Drawings too.
- You need to have experience about art to join this contest.
- Post all entries in this thread, no PM required.
- There will be some persons who will be eliminated for certain amount of tasks, and decreased into one person eliminated if there are only 10 participants left or less.
- I will choose the best one for each task, if you're the best one in 4 tasks, you will get an immunity, means you can't be eliminated in the next round, if you're the worst. Automatically, the second of the worst will be eliminated.
- Immunity is only be able to be use for one round, after that, it's gone. You need to try to earn it again by the way that I had explained before.
- You must make your entry by your own. No Youtube tutorial, copying finished graphic, and copying other participants graphic.
- You can't edit your graphic if you're already submitting your graphic.
- No submitting, you will be eliminated.
- Any questions can be posted here or PM me.
- When it comes to say Porridge in the form, say Pixie-riffic.

You need to use this form to participate in every tasks:
Art experience: Example: Since I was small
Post your task results: Post here your result of the task
What thing make you inspiring to art: Example: Art is my facility to learn something new. With art, I can think for new ideas and share it to others. With art, I can find what's my true self is.
Commission if you're eliminated: Example: I will learn better, try to find a new ideas at the internet, and trying to make my own new creation.

Black: Submitted the Task
Blue: Not Submitted the Task

Dark vs Light
Depth is very important for this task. For this task, you will create a tag that depicts dark vs light. It's up to you to create a good vs bad characters, light vs dark background, etc. You can use any renders you want, including your fairy itself or renders at the internet. But the most important thing is, your signature must be in dark and light color to be accepted.

Due Date: Saturday, 21st June

No Runner Ups in this contest! Only one winner will receive the prizes.

Art experience: I've been drawing since i was a teeny widdle pixie (self taught )
Post your task results: I'll post when i finish
What thing make you inspiring to art: Art helps me express myself; it's an outlet for my imagination and creativity. I also love to make art for my friends (and strangers as well).
Commission if you're eliminated: I'll learn not to be too full of myself. Being eliminated will reinforce that idea that I'm trying to learn that not everyone will like the same type of art; different people like different things.

Just one question. when you say graphics, does digital painting count? i have a tablet and that's what i use to make most of my art.

I just realized I have another question. I forgot it. I remembered it again. My apologies if I missed it in the instructions, but does the graphic we make have to be fairy related? and when is the due date for the dark vs. light prompt?

Guys, I know I'm not Alyce, but I think I might know what she's trying to say here.
Stella, digital paintings should count as computer art, so I would assume that it's okay. Also, I think by "Submitted Until", Alyce means due date, so it's June 21.
Hazy, it says that "You can also submit" computer drawings and hand drawn art, not that they are mandatory. Since this is a graphics contest, I'm thinking that regular edits that you do for your profile pics, avatars, etc. are okay as well.
Hope I didn't misunderstand or answer anyone incorrectly. I'll post my entry as soon as I finish it.

Art experience: I've never had formal art lessons, but I've been sketching and painting since I was very young. I've been doing fairy edits/graphics for about a year.

What an interesting contest, Alyce! It sounds like a fun challenge. I would love to join!

Art experience: I've had a passion for art since I was very young, but I only started making graphics three years ago.

Art experience: I've been obsessed with drawing since I was little but I started making art on the computer about two years ago for the forums, almost entirely self-taught :P

What thing make you inspiring to art: I use art to look at the world around me from different perspectives, to express myself, or to just have fun with it

Art experience: I've never been a great Mainland artist, and am still learning on the computer. However I do have fun using my creativity!

I wanted to do something a bit different, so instead of having a dark versus light I decided to go for more of a tribute to Pixie Hollow. The darkness represents our sorrow of losing it, but the light stands for the memories that will live on in our hearts. The good outweighs the bad.
What thing make you inspiring to art: PHF sparked my desire to learn more about art. I've always loved the graphics on here, and was curious about how to make them myself.
Commission if you're eliminated: I'm still learning, and this contest will be a positive experience no matter what
