They released THREE different versions:
Blu Ray with blue dust (toys r us) Blu Ray with books (Target and Kmart) Blu Ray with bonus shorts (Walmart and Target) My problem is that they never stated this BEFORE it went for sale, just like Frozen. MY copy is stuck with the dumb 4-minute fake making of instead of a REAL one - which I really wanted to see because they showed parts of it on Disney Channel |

I really hope it's not ending. It might not, they haven't come out and stated themselves it's gone, just a few employees who maybe misheard wrong. Besides, this article from April states they are proud of the franchise and that it does do well for them, and that the 7th film was canceled due to story problems. Maybe they're reorganizing the Fairies franchise? Here it is: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...disneys-692559

What do you think "reorganizing" would entail? If that's the case...

Not so much reorganizing per se, wrong term to use. But maybe reorganize the seventh film. They say it was because of story problems, maybe it's true and they're scrapping the idea and working on a new seventh movie. I doubt Disney would let this franchise just slip away after Neverbeast. It's a franchise with established lore and almost 10 years of material. To just end it over a small decline in sales is ridiculous, and I think maybe the supposed person in the past who heard these rumors merely misheard.

Well, in all the promotional material for Neverbeast they keep saying "fairies' LATEST adventure", and not "last" or whatever. I know it's not stone cold proof there will be more, but I think it is anyway. Disney usually says when something's coming to an end, so...
With the 7th and 8th being canceled, I believe it was story problems, and maybe they're just rewriting them? |

I surely hope Legend of the Neverbeast wasn't the last of the films, especially since it was such a good one compared to The Pirate Fairy. Don't get me wrong- I love all the Tinker Bell films, but I did feel that The Pirate Fairy was lacking a lot, and I was afraid that the magic of the movies was over. Legend of the Neverbeast restored my faith in the film franchise. Please make more, Disney... We love Disney Fairies!
P.S. who else wishes there would be more Disney Fairy chapter books written??? I can't get enough of being immersed into that world. |

Ooh, yes, I would like more of those chapter books. Though my reading level is high I can read them in two hours or less but I'm fine with that - it gives me time to read even more books. Not only that, the books keep the Disney Fairies franchise alive while the movie series is on hiatus. And did you know that one of those books inspired "Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure"? (Chapter book "Tink North of Neverland".) I remember when I watched that movie for the second time or so I suddenly realized that it reminded me an awful lot of one of the books - and lo and behold, the chapter book was mentioned in the credits. I don't know why, but that made me very giddy.

I do! I know that the Never Girls series is still going strong at this point, but it was the original chapter book series that first captured my attention, and I would love to have more books added to that series. Not only to tell more new stories of the book characters, but I think it would be cool to hear stories from more movie characters points of view, like the books Silvermist and the Ladybug Curse, or Iridessa, Lost at Sea. I would love to read a book that would follow the continuing stories of characters like Nyx or Zarina.

Okay, so I was looking at Disney Fairies' page on Facebook and saw some mention of a new Tinker Bell movie called "Return of James Hook" with this year stamped on it (which seems highly unlikely for it to come out that soon.)
Anyone else see this and know whether or not it is true? This month I was seriously-seriously-seriously thought of contacting Disney to offer my services as writer of the Tinker Bell movies to keep them going. Maybe I don't have to (not like a major company like Disney would listen to a nobody such as myself )

Here's the image of the comments discussion on Facebook:
Spoiler for Image of the Comments in Question:
For one thing, I highly, highly doubt that there's a new Tinker Bell movie coming out in 2016 at all, let alone Spring 2016 (the season we're currently in). If a new movie was coming out this year, there would be a teaser trailer at the very least by now, not to mention promotional clips, movie posters, and maybe even a few new Pixie Previews to keep us entertained. Also, if I remember correctly, that information about a new Tinker Bell movie being released in 2020 was an April Fool's hoax last year (it was never proven, especially since the April Fool's paper described "official" movie releases from the 2015 D23 Expo, and DisneyToon wasn't even at the most recent D23 Expo.) I have no idea if any of these rumors are true--even the above commentators talked about how they couldn't find any information about the movie when searching the title, and I have no idea where they're getting their ideas about the movie at all. Personally, if I was in charge of creating the next Tinker Bell movie, James Hook wouldn't be in it at all. I mean, what purpose does his story have at this point? He's been beat by the fairies, chased by Crocky, and stumbled across Smee and the Jolly Roger. He was still young in The Pirate Fairy, so clearly the movie takes place some time before Peter Pan becomes relevant. I have no clue why Hook would want to come back to Pixie Hollow other than to try to take the blue dust back, but that would just feel repetitive--it would be like The Pirate Fairy all over again. Also, Sapphira, I have faith that you would write one flitterific next movie if given the chance.

Time to make that 'Wow, look at that awesome girl' video, then! Thing is, who do I give it to...? Disney doesn't seriously go after YouTube videos, they like them to be for their eyes only.
When I saw the mention of a new Tink movie yesterday I actually found a Wikia page for it. But I was still very suspicious of it being real, since the person who made the page said something along the lines of: 'As shown in the sample picture, you can see...' all these characters from past Tinker Bell movies, including Fern from the Pixie Hollow Games. The 'sample picture' was just a screenshot from The Pirate Fairy, so the person had no idea what they were talking about. Or they did and were pulling 2016's April Fool's Joke. I won't say I fell for it, but I did wish to be hopeful. Aw, now I'm all disappointed again *sniffle*

Tinker Academy
I found this on Tumblr, I don't know where the person found it themselves, but I thought the art and concept sounded cool (I'm just a sucker for ruined castles.) It was concept art for a Tinker Bell movie dubbed "Tinker Academy" that was cancelled.
(All art done by Barry Atkinson) I can see a lot of problems to this story line, but I would have loved it anyway. The person also had concept art for "The Pirate Fairy" before the final plot was decided and it was called "Tinker Bell and the Mythical Island"; it looked like it was about a desert island with all kinds of interesting sights and a very old castaway sparrow man.

Why is concept design always so enchantingly beautiful? I adore this landscape that Barry Atkinson has created.
It was interesting to think about the possibilities of how this story would unravel. I personally thought it would make for a fun puzzle & exploration video game.
