Sunlight streamed into the small cave my mother and I shared. The ivy covering the entrance sparkled with morning dew. I rose, and removed the patchwork quilt wrapped around me. It was getting colder and colder each night. My mother's sleep spot was empty, she had already left in search of food. I heard loud talking from outside. I crawled lowly to the ivy and pushed some aside. It's Calaeron, Crescent, and Rilla. Calaeron was holding a bunny. Freshly shot, bunny breakfast.
