I was actually thinking it would be a son. The firstborn son, the heir to the throne. I was thinking that this world would be so old fashioned that only sons get to rule, but then Clann will change it making it so that a royal son or daughter can rule, but they must rule equally with their husband or wife, and one would need to be Gifted and one not.

For the son's name I was thinking one of these:
Emmanuel - meaning the Messiah or savior
Aloysius - meaning famous warrior
Neal - meaning champion
Nikko - meaning victory of the people
Aidan - meaning little fiery one
Arwin - meaning friend of the people
Colin/Colyn - victory of the people
Darryn - great

..... and there are plenty more names out there
