Create a Contest... Contest!

It's no secret that not only was I not a pixie, but I also wasn't around here much when the forum was active. I'm sorry!

As a result, I don't know which contests were popular!

Sooo I need you to design a contest for me...

Come up with an original forum contest idea and either describe what your award would look like

- OR -

use last year's template and actually create the award by clicking here (note: you must have Photoshop, GIMP, or similar graphic manipulation software to do this options)

Everyone who creates their own contest, will receive this award:

You have until October 5th to post your contest on this thread!

Here's my contest idea.

Let's make "Design your Own Fairy" contest. Meaning to say, it's like designing your own original character, but in the form of fairy, starting from designing the facial appearance and haircut to designing the clothes that the fairy will wear. You can use traditional art supplies or digital drawing software to participate. However, the appearance of the fairy created must be different from the appearance of fairies in Pixie Hollow, including the wing shape.

The catch here is to make the fairy with the most interesting and catchy appearance. So don't worry about the quality of the drawing/graphics.

Everyone who participate will win the "Design your Own Fairy 2019" award. This award will have the picture of the mannequin from the queen boutique along with the Cottonpuff Field meadow as the background of the award. Additional Dandelion Fluff and Twig in the foreground will make the appearance of the award become more interesting.

I really want to make graphics here, but unfortunately, I'm too busy to do that for now.

This is a great idea, Lori! I've been pretty busy lately but I'm still planning on submitting an entry before the deadline! :TinkSmilie:

'til then! :Charm:

EDIT:
This isn't an original idea, but I always like the Fairy Haiku contests. I just think it's fun to write pixie hollow themed haikus hehe.

Another fun contest could be "What's your talent?" in which you describe which talent you would be if you were really a fairy or sparrow man and why.

This last one isn't a contest, but I was having so much fun creating awards that I made this too. :Embarrassed::Teasing:

By the way, I don't know if anyone might need help with this but converting the gimp file (.xcf) to a photoshop file (.psd) is quite easy. First open the .xcf file you downloaded in gimp. Then, on the upper left-hand side click on "file" and select "export as" from the dropdown menu. After that, find the (*.psd) file extension (see pictures below) and click the "export" button! Don't forget to change .png into .psd or else you'll be saving the file as a single layer.

What a fun idea for a contest!

My idea is for a "Where Are They Now" contest. Participants can submit either a short story or graphic depicting what their fairy or sparrow man has been up to since the Hollow closed. Where they are living now, what their friends are like, their achievements, and how they've grown and changed over these years. I want to leave it up to everyone's interpretations, so no limits on creativity!
I imagine the award would be a picture of the Home Tree with Tink's silhouette over it.

Thank you all for your suggestions! I'm so happy you all suggested ones where you can be creative because those are my favorite too! I will be sending out awards tonight.
