Year of Inspiration
Hello Forum Fairies, I've decided to start this new, er, event? A Year of Inspirational quotes! I've been feeling sad for quite a long time and finally said to myself "You're a smart girl, you need to start believing in yourself again". I responded back with "But how?" Seeking out inspirational quotes came to my mind, but I needed ones that were more directly for myself than those ones you see in quote books.

I started yesterday and am posting them on my Facebook page, but I thought I would post them here, too, just in case any of you, or a friend you know, might need a positive boost. Here is February 1:

Most of those demons are in my head and are also called 'negative thoughts'. Stupid, negative thoughts *shakes fist*

February 2:

It's difficult to become an extraordinary person; but it's easy to simply be yourself, which is just as remarkable.
I chose the two different pictures of Belle, the fancy one and the original art, because I think the original Belle is actually prettier than the dolled up Belle.

This is cute Sapphira! <3
It's a good idea to show these, personally it made my day.

Night Wish 02-04-2015 12:53 AM

Thank you for the inspiring quotes, Sapphira! Your graphics are beautiful.
I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling sad for a long time. I hope the inspiring quotes are helping!

Sapphira110 02-04-2015 03:51 PM

Thank you, Night Wish, they are helping me, slowly but surely. And making them in this way reinforces their meaning.

I'm really glad it made you happy, Kass.

Spoiler for February 4-8:
February 4:

Perhaps you might notice where this quote comes from: Ever After High's theme song. It inspires me to take big chances to make my dream become a reality.

February 5:

When times get tough, don't doubt: Just believe. The quote comes from one of my favorite Winx Club songs, "Superheroes".

February 6:

I'm trying to have this sassy attitude towards the doubters and the cynical, so I can have faith in my dreams.

February 9:

Sometimes you can't help but feel like you have reached the end of your rope and want to give up. Just remember this saying.

February 12:

I woke up this morning to the song "Unwritten" and thought I might as well use it to inspire one of my quotes.

Happy Valentine's Day

February 18's, a day late. I didn't know what quote to do, so I blindly flipped through my newest book, "The Sorceress, the Druid, and the Timewalker" and blindly pointed at a line. The first one didn't work, as it had to do with a garden's description, so I looked at the facing page and laid eyes on another line from Adriel: "Hang in there". (Now if only Rapunzel had pink hair and Flynn had longer hair with streaks of blue and green they could be my two characters Falina and Adriel. 'Course, Falina's hair is normal length, not Rapunzel-length.)

spoken by the main hero, Leif, of my book The Fading King. What's this? Of course you haven't heard of it, I'm still typing it out; look forward to it being published by the end of the year!

February 24:

Spoken by Falina, the heroine of "The Apprentice, the Swordsman, and the Impossible Mission", when everyone keeps telling her she can't finish her 'impossible mission'. (The girl in the graphic is supposed to be Falina.)

This computer I'm using used to take some really good, crisp screenshots, but as of lately they look slightly blurred, I wish I knew why...

Lovely quotes and backgrounds, Sapphira! I hope you have been feeling happier.

Night Wish 02-26-2015 01:00 AM

You're welcome, Sapphira! Your new quotes and graphics are absolutely beautiful.
Some of the ones you did are actually among my favorite inspiring quotes! I love how you have made them into a thing of beauty not just in words, but also in pictures. :Clapping:

February 28:

I used the aurora borealis because even an aurora borealis cannot emulate its predecessor quite the same way. (Akwaa'Oomee (that's aquaa-Oo-mee) is a book character of mine, she's an elf.)

March 1:

I've been needing a hug lately...

Spoiler for March 2-4:
March 2:

One of my favorite scenes from the old Muppets movie, I couldn't help but use it for today's quote - Kermit: "Hey Fozzie, I want you to turn left if you come to a fork in the road... I don't believe that..."

March 3:

March 4:

Spoiler for March 5-11:
March 5:

March 6-7:
Yes, I skipped a day...

Some would say this is not very inspiring, but I see it like this: This is my life, so no matter how difficult it gets, I need to keep living it. I owe myself that. (Do I have Frozen Fever? Not really. I didn't want to use another Elsa picture for a quote so soon, but I needed one to convey the message correctly and Elsa was perfect.)

March 8:

March 9:

I was channeling Rainbow Dash this day.

March 11:

Another skipped day, ah well...

Said to the protagonist in "The Fading King" (not published yet.)

Feel free to comment on the pictures used, or to ask any question to better understand the quotes

Thanks for all the inspiration, Sapphira! I just read this entire thread for the first time, and it was lovely to read
and beautiful to look at! I think it's awesome how you sometimes use bits of inspiration from your own books!
And I really love today's quote; it reminds me of my favourite quote from my favourite novel. Oh, and if you're still
having a problem with slightly blurred screenshots, maybe you could try saving them as png instead of jpeg?

popcorn1234 03-20-2015 06:35 PM

These are beautiful, Sapphira! They brought a smile to my face. Flitterific job! :Clapping:

Sapphira I have just loved reading all of your messages.
We have all felt down at one time or another. And we always look
for Inspiration somewhere, quotes help give you that pep talk you need.
I hope it is alright if I post one here for you.

I just love this lady's artwork and quotes. She draws all of the pictures herself.
She has a Facebook page so if you are on there her page is called
Rose Hill Designs by Heather Stillufsen. I look at her page everyday and share lots too. I think they are a great way to start your day.

Pixie Hugs,

Lyrics from one of my favorite Little Mermaid songs from the TV series.

I saved the image as a png, and it looked good on my computer, but once I put it on Facebook the writing became blurred. So maybe it's that site's fault. Yeah, that's it...

Thank you, Twi, I like this quote from her page:

Neverbelle 03-21-2015 03:40 PM

I just read the whole thread for the first time (thanks for pointing it out to me Twi, how did I miss it??) and I think it's flitterific! What a creative way to express yourself and keep your spirits high. I do hope you're feeling a little better now? *pixie hug*

My personal favorite was this:

Can't wait to see more!

P.S. Sapphira, I think you have to add [ shot ] [ /shot ] tags (no spaces) around the image to make it smaller.

Book Thing 03-21-2015 06:50 PM

Thank you for spreading the inspiration and sharing those quotes with us, Twilight! The artwork is beautiful!
Wow, I had no idea there was a Little Mermaid television series, but I absolutely love the quote and picture!

Yeah... Facebook compresses photos, which reduces the quality. It may work if you upload your pictures to
an album and select the High Quality box. I'm not entirely sure how Facebook works, but I hope that helps.
And Neverbelle's right! You simply add those tags! A shortcut is to just select the picture URL and click http://www.pixiehollowforums.com/for...ditor/Shot.jpg.

Twilight 03-21-2015 07:22 PM

Sapphira I love that from The Little Mermaid cartoon series. Ruby it was on
The Disney Channel in the 90's along with Aladdin the animated series and
Hercules the animated series, I loved them all. I wish Disney would release them
on DVD, I have the Hercules series on VHS but no longer have a VCR to play it.
