It was fun to get the audience to participate.

Wants means once
"made zzz and serve ants" means maids and servants

The Fisherman and His Wife
( a traditional German tale, to pages long )

Wants there was a poor fisherman.
He lived with his wife in an old hut by the sea.
Won day he was fishing and caught a big fish
who was wearing a crown.
It said ( I am really a prince. Let me go. )
The surprised fisherman said ( OK. )
The fish was thankful and said
( I will give you a wish )
So the fisherman asked for his hut to be repaired.
( Go home and you will see that it is so. )
He went home and his wife said
( I was here and the house suddenly was all fixed up. )
They were happy.
His wife was happy for WON week.
( say it with me - - for WON week )
Then she said ( Go back to the sea and tell the fish
that I want a fancy house with made zzz and
serve ants. )
He said ( I don't want to go. )
( Go! ) she said. So he went.
The fisherman went back to the sea.
He called ( Oh fish in the sea, come listen to me.
My wife begs a wish from the magic fish. )
The sea rose and so did the fish.
( What do you ask? ) said the fish.
The fisherman asked
( May we have a fancy home with serve ants? )
The fish answered
( Go home and you will see that it is so. )
So he went home and it was true.
They were happy.
His wife was happy for . . .

for TOO weeks.
Then the wife said ( I want a castle now. )
( Go back and tell the fish to give me a castle. )
He said ( I don't want to go. )
( Go! ) she said. So he went.
The fisherman went back to the sea.
He called ( Oh fish in the sea, come listen to me

The sea rose but it was dark and bubbly.
The fish was not happy.
The man told the fish what his wife wanted.
( Go home and you will see that it is so. )
So he went home and it was true.
They were happy.
His wife was happy - -
for TREE weeks.
Then she said
( Go back to the sea and tell the fish
that I want to be queen. )
He said ( I don't want to go. )
( Go! ) she said. So he went.
The fisherman went back to the sea.
He called ( Oh fish in the sea, come listen to me
My wife begs a wish from the magic fish. )
The sea rose, dark and swirly, and higher than before
and so did the fish.
( What does your wife want now? ) it asked.
( She wants to be queen ) he answered.
( Go home and you will see that it is so. )
So he went home and it was true.
They were happy.
His wife was happy for

for FOR weeks.
Then the wife said
( I want to be queen of the sun and the moon and stars )
The man said
( I don't want to go. The fish will be so angry. )
( Go! ) she said. So he went.
The fisherman went back to the sea.
He called ( Oh fish in the sea, come listen to me
My wife begs a wish from the magic fish. )

The sea was dark, stormy, bubbly
and the wave was high and scary.
The fisherman did not dare look the fish in the eye.
[scared emote]
( What does your wife want now? ) said the fish
with an angry voice.
The man told the fish what she wanted.
The fish answered ( NO. She cannot be queen of the
sun. She cannot be queen of the moon and the stars.
She asks too much.
You both must go back to living in the hut and be
happy enough with that. )
He went back home, and it was the simple hut again.
And there the fisherman and his wife live to this day.
I know because a mermaid told me.

So, I was going through the channels on Monday on the TV and guess what I found? Disney Channel! I've never watched Disney Channel, though I had heard of some of the shows on it. So now I've been watching Disney Channel. Here are my favorites, Jessie my favorite, Shake It Up least favorite:

Calling all green thumbs! We’re looking for the most flitterific Fairy Gardens in honor of Nature Days, which starts next week. Up to the challenge? Deck out your Fairy Garden with decorations and plant some seeds. Then, invite your friends over and take a snapshot (instructions here). Bonus points for a snapshot that includes a friend singing to your plants!

When you’ve got the pixie perfect snapshot, submit it to the Share Your Creativity Page as “art.” You have one week – the last day to enter the challenge is Thursday, May 24. We’ll feature some of our favorites later this month, and those Fairies will earn the Flitterific Home Design badge!
